I thought this shyt was alright, not the best...not the worst. Folks hated this??

Yeah

shyt was clearly the result of a studio that saw success of Guardians of the Galaxy, locked the director/writer out of the editing room and told the guys that make movie trailers (true story) to make it lighter and throw famous music behind majority of the scenes.

End of the day, it was a movie that had a shytty supernatural villain that really didn't fit, but I'd be interested to see the darker tone and Leto's Joker that wasn't edited into a different character and had its scenes cut.

Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn Reshoot Change Involving Robin Broke Original Film’s Timeline

The latest Suicide Squad tidbit comes courtesy of a detail from Harley's backstory. During the first act of Suicide Squad, the many members of the team are introduced to audiences via onscreen text. With Harley's intro, one line in particular stuck out to fans: "Accomplice to the murder of Robin." Yes, in the DCEU, Batman's (Ben Affleck) trusty sidekick was killed by the Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley. However, this doesn't match up with another key detail, which was that Batman punched out Joker's teeth following Robin's death, forcing the Joker to get a set of metal grills.

Suicide Squad shows the moment Harley and the Joker first meet, and it's clear that the Joker has his grills on. This would suggest the Joker killed Robin before he had even met Harley. On social media, after a fan indicated they were interested in seeing Harley's role in killing Robin, another fan suggested the detail was added by an editor who didn't know the whole story. Ayerconfirmed this by saying, "Yes. That broke my timeline. Johns added it." The Johns he was referring to is Geoff Johns, who was the head of DC Films at the time.

David Ayer revealed on his Insta an official script page of Joker working with Enchantress in his cut of SUICIDE SQUAD.

He then confirmed to a fan on Twitter that he shot and edited the scene but it got cut out of the final film.
