i'm pumped for the Snyder Cut, but it's probably gonna be pandora's box. i saw some shyt about people demanding a recut of, i think Revenge of the Sith b/c the fans "deserved it." Suicide Squad fukkin sucked 1000 dikks at once. No amount of chopping and adding will salvage it. Oh boy, we got a Suicide Squad that ended up being... ok? in the end! great! There's actually a fan edit of Revenge of the Sith that eliminated all the jar jar and joke scenes. I remember Collider talked about it a few years ago during their Star Wars commentary Kristian said it was pretty good
i have zero recollection of Jar Jar in the prequels post Phantom. I also don't remember much of the "joke scenes" in that movie. they really are a blur at this point. Also, Revenge of the Sith sucks as much as they other two, but we certainly don't need a re-cut of a 20 year old movie. There is no Jar Jar scene in RotS.
What "fans" want is an EXTENDED cut that leaves in scenes showing the birth of the rebellion and even cutting in the latest Clone Wars episodes.
It's bullshyt either way because if there is/was one giant in the industry who had total 100% control of his movies it was George Lucas. It's how he could go back and change them whenever he felt like it.
Plus RotS is the best one including the OGs, Empire maybe on the same level, so why bother

Yeah it’s a Pandora’s box but that box was opened a long time ago for real. The minute studios started letting fans hijack projects to little return. And now with corona and studios trying to figure out what to do in case they can’t get us back in the theaters any time soon, expect more capitulation. There’s something to be said for letting the artist vision be that vision and respecting it. Something else to be said for letting what’s out there remain out there and not compete with the past.
