Suggestions for shoes that go well with jeans & cargo shorts but arent sneakers

All good choices for when you dont want to wear sneaks and dont want to go for the formal oxfords.

Peep sights like Shoes, Clothing, and More | Zappos.com and you can sometimes catch them on sale for less than $150.
Those Cole Haans are comfortable breh. They use the same stuff Nike uses in their soles.

I would assume of course slacks... you couldn't wear anything else on top of those without looking like a hipster. Hipster go to would probably be some dark blue jeans with a light blue/light jean button up with a dark gray wool vest... and (drum roll please) a bowtie. But for me, probably a khaki color slack? I don't know If would put a dark color slack on top of that dark gray.

Best bet is to probably wear a blazer... the shoes would probably go better with a wool blazer, as opposed to cotton. But it just depends. You definitely won't be able to be too "matchy" though.... It would take a lot of "indirect coordination" to make it work.

Honestly... it's really the red shoe strings that make it a little more difficult
