let’s start with this:

- Too much gangsta shít at the offices
- Michel’le letting everyone smash
- Everyone’s poor work ethic exposed when Pac showed up
- Suge not listening to Harry O and staying invisible
- Dre not being active in the company despite being a boss because he just wanted to fück around in the studio at his own pace
- Not pumping out enough music when it came to everyone not named 2Pac
- Major lack of professionalism when it came to running the company like an actual business

It’s obvious. Snoop and Dre struggled for years to make decent music after Death Row… Dre was down bad until he found Eminem and Snoop struggled til he linked with Pharrell in like 2004.

That’s proof they had already fallen off by the time Pac showed up. They really were just living off Chronic and Doggystyle clout with no intentions of actually doing anything. Pac’s work ethic and star power exposed them

This was key.. They had plans to release Rage, Dre 2nd album, Snoop 2nd album, Another Dogg pound album and they scrapped all that up to focus on Pac... That would definitely cause resent

Makes sense to me.

After Dre and Snoop put Deathrow on the map, here comes Pac walking around the office calling himself the don:pachaha:

Suge shouldve nipped that in the bud asap. But I think he actually liked Pacs energy and got swept up in the moment. He wasnt worried about what Snoop and Dre was doing probably. They may have been jealous, but then realized it would be a good time to sneak away while Suge was occupied:mjlol:

Pac was their golden goose so I don’t fault him for not being as laidback about work as the others were.

Back in the Chronic/Doggystyle days, Dre was dealing with so much legal shït because he was intent on crashing out so all he could really do was hide in the studio and work on music and two great projects came out of it. But his work ethic was mediocre and he was a poor leader — and another reason why an artist shouldn't be running a label.

A better fit for him would’ve been in a Quincy Jones type lane and working with artists all over the map to shape the sound of tracks they already did — and be the poster boy for Death Row. That would’ve sanitized the myth of Suge and gave them inroads in the East (and probably the South) if the mighty Dr Dre is pulling up to D&D Studios to mix something or soaking up some of Dallas Austin’s energy in Atlanta.

Dre was just lazy. You get a second wind after the Ruthless thing, go do something else instead of linking with the rap version of dikk Griffey and Gene Griffin.

Any resentment from the other artists on Death Row is on them. Warren G was around years before Pac and proved that you didn’t need Suge/Dre to wave the magic wand in your direction — go after it yourself.

And there was a lot of learn from Pac. He took all of the producers sitting on the bench at Death Row and made Makaveli in 3 damn days. Everyone else could’ve done their own version of that but Suge spoiled all of them when they could’ve used their resources to find unknown producers who would’ve been eager to work on the next Death Row project.

Right!!!! nikkas act like Pac was a complex and misunderstood Incredible Hulk make a wish foundation kid

Pac was angry..

-Mom was a crack addict, head of Geronimo's harem, and a leader of the BP

- Dad wasn't around

- Cops kept harassing him due to his family's history with the law

Snoop was a Cosby kid compared to Pac

Stop it.

Linking with P in New Orleans was a major thing and gave his career a second wind. If folks didn’t like his stuff on No Limit it’s a matter of personal taste.

But it was a mutually beneficial win for both sides and P was a genius for pulling it off. That was literally his version of what Suge did when he signed Pac

Snoop looked like a one album wonder until linked back with Dre in the late 90s. None of Snoops singles did well like that until he got with Pharrell.
Snoop...was...not...struggling!!

Snoop said outta his own damn mouth he didn't see any real money until he hooked up with P. Anything else you tryna say different is sum opinionated shyt. All the No Limit Snoop albums went at least platinum

So you think work ethic was the problem? Nate Dogg had a whole album ready to be released. A classic album at that and Suge shelved it.

How do you know Dre was lazy. He doesn’t come across as that type
