What people fail to see is Floyd has made great fighters look ordinary. His brain is like a computer. Makes all the proper adjustments and takes away your strengths. We are seeing a once in a lifetime talent.

For arguements sake only.....

Why would an of those boxers be able t deal with SRR? He wasn't super nikka. I'd put any of those boxers against SRR with expectations of a win except Duran because he was frustrated by Ray Leonard so I'm just going to inane what SRR would PROBABLY do (not sure though).

Also this thread is only on speculation and no one could make a clear arguement for either fighter. I haven seen enough of SRR to make Ana assessment, I can't go by his record and urban legends because STYLES MAKES FIGHTS.

I dont think they would be able to deal with srr imo but at least those fighters hav some offence to deal or ward off srr or at least try too

Srr had ko power in both hands one of the hardest punchers ever and fast as fukk

U tell me if floyds gonna wanna exchange with srr at any point or better yet tell me the last time Floyd foughtna heavy handed fighter corrales at 130?

And again floyd is a small welter srr started out at welter u can be he same weight and still be bigger than ur opponent

Floyd broke his hand v wack guerrero imagine against a guy who killed a dude in the ring

Floyd too quick... would make it a boring fight without any big punches landed. His conditioning and defense is incredible.

SRR would maybe get 3 or 4 rounds out of 12.

Wtf

Roger and floyd sr would slap u if u said this in public out loud

Stlyes make fights wat advantage stylistically would floyd hav over srr? Lol

Wait...I didn't know we were only talking about Floyd:wtf: I thought we were talking about the OTHER fighters you mentioned too. What about them? I'm Floyded out because no matter what's said about him you're either a Stan or a hater. So let's keep it general.

Maybe the fact that Floyd is a legendary "boxer" his slipping of punches and quickness is superhuman breh. Style wise the slugger SRR would actually look terrible against Floyd. He wouldn't dare engage a brawl with SRR.

SRR only advantage would be punching power but you cant hurt what you cant hit. Floyd would dance around and sneak in them trolling right hands all night long.

this is to both of you.

I don't hold Jake Lamotta in high regard, again this is just from what I read and seen of him which isn't much. SRR had tough 2 or 3 fights, where Lamotta even knocked him down a few times. Mayweather has never been down and would probably treat Lamotta like Robert Guerrero.

The double digit losses is understandable I guess, because they were on some other shyt back in the day (fight twice in a month) but the people who he loss to were a lot of garbage fighters and some of them may be in the HOF but they are by deafualt because there was no real gauge of good fighters back in the day. Seems like they let every old -time champion in the HOF.

Anyway, I'm going by the Lamotta fights and the other grainy footage fights (where you could barely seen the knock outs cleanly because of the footage) and I say Floyd would outbox SRR.

Lol srr lost to lamotta by SPOTTING HIM 15 FREAKIN LBS IN THIS DAY AND AGE THATS TWO FREAKING DIVISONS AKA 140 LB FIGHTER VS A 154 FIGHTER

So while u might not hold lamotta in high regard lol smh u might wanna the hold circumstances of the fight in high regard

My uncle used to tell me that Sugar Ray was the greatest to ever do it and he says no one would beat him in this current era. And I know he knows his sports, so I think ima go with Robinson to win. I think he would knock Floyd out too. And ima Floyd fan. Floyd wouldn't be able to keep SRR off him. Robinson had a granite chin and I don't think Floyd would be able to hurt him.

Only fighter on that list has a chance is hearns imo duran to small 135 is is greatest lb

Leonard maybe but dont know if he has enough pop to check srr he is he best boxer at that weight but still not as much power as hearns

Hearns would be a short fight he has he most pop

Srr beats all three imo

Pop? You don't need a lot of pop to beat someone. Just well timed punches.

What would SRR do to nullify Leonard's and Floyd's speed? Tommy's power and reach? HAGLER'S all around greatness aaaaand Floyd's percision, stamina and DEFENSE?

Sugar Ray Robinson would beat Floyd not because skill, because is too fast and too big, but then again, look at his competition, a lot of those guys couldn't sniff the scrubs in today's game.
I consider him a middleweight, because he dominated at the weight as well
Floyd could not dominate at middlemight, his too small, his a small welterweight at that
this topic is dumb

You might as well ask who would win Sugar Ray Robinson or Ali, of course Ali would win.

The thread should be called who is Pound 4 Pound the greatest Sugar Ray Robinson or Floyd Mayweather

If Floyd beats Canelo at 154 in next year and half, I will go with Floyd.
You can point to SRR's record, but come on you damn well back in the day most guys were bums.

Boxing techniques evolve over time
you wouldn't compare the old boxers who fought like the fighting irish logo, to Ray Robinson, so you can compare Floyd to him, the time frame is too far apart.

Mayweather's defense is the first of it's kind, a by product of generations of boxing knowledge passed down
