Be ready to ask some thoughtful questions about the company to the interviewer. Sound educated on and interested in the company.

Sit up with good posture, eye contact. Look happy to be there.

Of course the ATL
I do interviews & hiring for my company...we have a set of questions we ask everybody & then 5-7 questions we ask you based off of your questionaire/personality test

Depending on how that goes I always ask a few questions just to make sure it's the right fit:

What do you miss most about your last job?
What would your last boss say about you?
What's your biggest strength/weakness?
Where do you see yourself in a yr?

Personally I don't care if you know anything about the company, I'm really looking for the right personality, behaviors & aptitude to do well with our company, even if you've never worked in this field before.

I would suggest you have a question or two ready after the interview is done, at least seem like you're interested. Otherwise relax, dress sharp & do your best.

I just got a new job, killed my interview.

I`d say your best bet is make sure you're interviewing for a job you truly want.

Also, one of the biggest things you can do is research the company anything about the way they do business.

That is so key. Never interview for something you don't want. Because in most cases, if you are selected for a job; you HAVE TO DO THE JOB.

Good info. I'm preparing for a job interview with a major company.

How should I close out an interview? Should I say something "I like what I see, I feel I could make a great addition to the team, I would like to make it clear I want this position!"?

Just finished with a successful interview today, biggest thing is be yourself.

Keep it professional but be yourself.

Where you offered the position or are you just confident? I lose confidence in an interview when I can't answer certain questions.

Ask a few questions about the company and the interviewer. Toward the end of the interview you might get asked if you have any questions. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

You want to walk in with a decent knowledge of the company and it's competitors.

Once you have the knowledge you can fire away with specific questions about the direction of the company .Ask them if they could describe a typical workday to you. Ask how your performance will be monitored. Ask if there was anything in particular about the company that lead to their employment.

Stay away from questions about salary. Good luck breh

I have a friend that is backing me, but even still i had to go up against other applicants and nothing was promised. With that said im not really crazy confident but, :yeshrug: whats the worst that can happen, I stumbled around a few questions, but you just have to keep it moving until you get to the end goal, you'd be surprise how many people just out right do and say stupid things according my boy.

It really seems like most jobs are looking for people who are more of a fit than people who might be "experts" at what they do. Not all jobs, but alot want dependability and personable people more so than anything else.

Ask why the position is open or the turnover rate for the department. You don't want to get stuck in a job that sucked for 95% of the people that filled the position.

Definitely be able to articulate your belief and understanding of the IBM brand and what you bring to it. Make sure that your past experience backs up the req's for the position and be able to easily speak to it. Show that you have a passion for customer service and teaching because you will have to be excellent at both aspects. And you're going to need to exercise patience and that last sentence "manage the situation until the problem is fixed." is very key. Drive that stuff home and you should be good. I will talk about my recent interview once I find out whether I got the position or not (any day now).
