Some really good advice already posted in here. I will say this, make sure you reaffirm your interest in the position before you leave the interview. You can even go as far as asking for the position before you walk out of the door. Follow-up with an email as well once you get home, thanking them for the interview.

Posture, composure and know the position you are applying for thoroughly and what you can bring to the job. Even create a T-Chart which you can draw from, that lists requirements needed for the job and your qualifications for each requirement.

Naw, you can never overdress for a job interview breh. We had interviews for warehouse positions a few weeks back in our offices and most of the applicants had on either suits or shirt and tie with khakis. I have been in employment services for a while and I never ever had an employer come to me and complain an applicant was overdressed. Don't care if it was for a custodial position.

Be early. Look prepared. Dress like you want the job. Speak clearly.

If its a company that you are not already apart of then research that company and be able to speak to it. Most of the rest of the stuff has already been said.

- Have good eye contact try not to maintain eye contact too much. When he/she says something that you think they think is supposed to be deep (or that they want you to think about), look away so it seems like you're thinking about it, even if you're not.

- Come correct with the handshake or get the fukk out. Firm and quick is the way to go. Anything else will make you look weird or just weak overall.

- Pace yourself, and always bring every question back to the job and how you benefit them. Remember: you're trying to sell yourself. Employers don't give a shyt about YOU personally; employers want to know why you would be an asset to them. If they ask you about challenges you face, go to a work or school related example if you can, and try to explain how it translates into an efficient workplace experience on your part.

- Be emotive and smile if you can. Well... you don't have to smile, but don't have a poker face the whole time.

- Don't worry if you get nervous. Just keep it moving if you fukk up, or acknowledge that you're nervous during the interview.

- DON'T fall for their trick questions. Look up illegal interview questions if you don't know what those are because there are certain questions interviewers are not allowed to ask you.

- Lastly, don't recite your resume to them. They've (most likely) already read it and they probably don't want to hear it again. Just make sure that you keep your story straight though, otherwise..

Other than that, good luck.

Do you have a job? :mjpls:
