I've soured on melo a lot this year. Growing up, he was my favorite player in the league. When he came to the knicks, I was ecstatic. Now, I dont really care if he leaves. We haven't done shyt in the playoffs every year and, even though thats not all on him, youd expect a player of his quality to produce something special at least once. This year, the hawks gift wrapped the last playoff spot for us by playing garbage basketball down the stretch and this dude disappears in the 2 most important games of the year. At some point, we have to stop excusing this bullshyt and see it for what it is.

Carmelo Anthony’s left eye was still swollen on Tuesday morning, a little over 12 hours after he took a
Rajon Rondo elbow to the head late in the fourth quarter of the Knicks’ 96-86 loss to the Boston Celtics.
“Some blood, a little cut. I’ve had worse done before,” he said with a smile.
Anthony, who needed five stitches to sew up the gash, believes the physicality of Monday’s game against Boston could serve as a playoff preview.
Ray Allen also needed stitches on Monday night to close a gash on his head courtesy of a
Jared Jeffries elbow.
“There were a lot of players out there who ended up bleeding. That was the indication of a playoff game,” Anthony said after practice on Tuesday. “If things work out that’s a team that we might see in the first round of the playoffs and that’s what you can expect, physical play (and) tough games.”
Monday night’s loss dropped the Knicks a full game behind Philadelphia in the race for sixth place in the Eastern Conference. If the Knicks finish in seventh place and the Celtics finished in second, they would face one another in the first round.
Boston, currently tied with Chicago atop the Eastern Conference, is 3-0 against the Knicks this season.
The Knicks conclude the regular season with an April 13 game at Boston.
Anthony expects a physical matchup in both the regular season finale against the Celtics and potential playoff series.
“There might be blood. That’s what you can expect. It is what it is,” he said.
Anthony tried to re-enter the game against the Celtics after receiving the Rondo elbow but couldn’t because his vision was impaired. He said the stitches were the first of his career – and life.
“I didn’t lose too many fights in my day,” he joked.

Antonelli/News The Boston Celtics draw blood from Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony on Monday night.
"Everybody knew this wasn't going to be easy," Anthony said. "This is a long road to get to where want to be at."
On Monday, Anthony sat on the Knicks' bench for several minutes after
Boston rallied for an impressive victory that showed what the Celtics truly are - tough, physical and battle-tested. Boston outscored the Knicks 23-4 over the last seven minutes and held both Stoudemire and Anthony to no field goals in the fourth quarter.
