I think self esteem may be the wrong word imo....I dont think having a narrow world view neccesarily means you have low self esteem....we lack exposure to alot of things,sometimes society puts us in a box and sometimes its us who reject "white people shyt" and trying new things.

tv may not do a good job of showing us a much larger worldview I can agree,but the fact us thats nkt sumthing you should rely on tv to do,and cant if your black.....i watched cosbys and fresh prince but those were just tv shows....i didnt have any lawyers or doctors in my family and didnt know of any in the hood....i think its important for us as black folks to make sure our kids see succesful black folks in REAL life,and expanding they horizons.

Im close minded and reject whats foreign to me but for my daughters sake, ill make sure I dont do that to her so shes not in that small box we often put ourselves in. its somewhat of a cycle...
