Anyone else kinda find it weird that Bomani Jones is the only noted black personality who hasn't said anything about Stuart's passing. All dude did was re-tweet the news and then just went right back to tweeting all day arguing about sports.

I feel like hes one of those dudes who was in the same boat as Whitlock a few years back about Stuart's on air style being corny. Hell there was people here for years and on SOHH who said the same thing and I was always like this is the same guy you loved in the 90s, you can call it corny now but its the same style he stuck with and it gave personality. I never liked when people said Stu was tapdancing or any of that shyt. Just because someone shows personality in a mainstream forum that doesn't mean hes trying to embarrass his people. Maybe that's not why Bomani didn't say anything but knowing Bo's perspective on things I wonder. Nevermind the fact dude created his blueprint.

condolences to his family.

took me a while to gather my thoughts on this. as a kid who grew up in the 90's, it was just a memorable time for sports and television. there were only 2 channels i watched religiously and that was mtv and espn. this was when these networks were actually good. since i didn't have bet, the only way i could watch rap music videos was either yo mtv rap, mtv jams or the box. as much as i loved music, i loved sports just as much. jordan was god almighty, and being from the bay area, i was a die hard niners fan as a kid. and for everything sports related, sportscenter was the main hub. the internet wasn't what it was today, so most of us who wanted sports info tuned into espn on what was going on.

since i live on the west coast, i had the pleasure of watching stu do the late night sportscenter. even tho im white, i was more comfortable with stu because he incorporated the style and ferver that was present due to time and hip hop culture. this man was swag before swag got overused. even on days when the bulls, niners or a's didn't play, i still tuned in to see stu gas up hockey plays because he did it was such reverence that it made it feel cooler than the other side of the pillow. if a highlight was on, stu made it memorable. he was just as important to me as all of my childhood sports heroes because he was icing on the cake that solidified all of those memories.

rest with love, stu. i shed tears because the childhood boy in me grieved for the happiness that you instilled to millions of us who you gave a voice to. im not a religious person, but i truly hope you are in paradise. one love, breh

Y'all listen to Kobe and D-Wade calling into SVP & Russillo? Fukk, man ... That's two of the most iconic athletes of our lifetimes literally calling in and volunteering their time to this radio show, to offer their condolences. Please listen to it. Great input from athletes on how they felt about Stu.

Bomanis one of those weirdo "intellectuals" who seems pretty robotic and doesn't deal with feeling and emotions well

Well maybe bomani wasn't really close to stuart like that & bomani doesn't really work out of bristol, he first appeared on ATH & the show with lebtard is based out of miami.

If anything I applaud bomani for not saying a lot because too many times when people die who are somewhat beloved you ALWAYS have that group of people who make it seem like they were the BFF of the departed. It would've been nice for him to atleast say "boo ya, RIP stu" but maybe he has his reasons.

Now you mentioned whitlock, that morbidly obese c00n POS wrote an entire article a few years back calling stu a c00n, & insinuated white people were in outraged with his constant rapper name dropping. And now for him to write an article giving stu props is so contrived but I expected that from the fat phaggit.

A true measure of a person's legacy is what people say about them when they're gone, it's amazing how you can't get anyone to say anything remotely negative about stu, even before he died it was the same. Whitlock wouldn't even get 2% of the love stuart is getting if he were to die.

Also there are people on here who like bomani's style but stuart fathered it. He was the 1st black man in broadcast media to do it & furthermore in my opinion bomani is the white colin cowherd, a dude who sometimes makes good points but doesn't like your rebuttal because they believe they're ALWAYS right, very annoying...

Yeah but here's the thing. You don't have to know Stu personally to know the impact he had as far as a mainstream black personality on sports TV in the early 90s, so I would have thought he would speak on that or at least give memories. I know its forced to ask someone to feel some way about someone else and I'm not saying that, but I just found it weird he retweeted the news and literally went right back to laughing and joking about Kobe and AAU ball and no memories or even personally saying RIP or my condolences. It just kinda goes back to the feeling that while I respect Bo's writings and approach, he does seem like this dude who has a chip on his shoulder and a passive aggressive streak.

Beadle not saying anything is worse, but I think we've all established she is a certified c*nt.

Man. Just found out that the services and the burial are literally up the road from my crib.... :mjcry::to:

Traffic on Glenwood Ave. is gonna be nuts this Saturday morning.... I'm definitely gonna take my son to visit Stu's grave. Stu emceed the last Late Night With Roy we went to, and my son was impressed with the love had for his alma mater, and how real he was.
