I am not saying both ideas are not true. I am saying they can't BOTH be true. None of these details are the point I am making. Again, Svience contsins dogma and true believers fight tooth and nail to debunk alternative ideas, just like with religion. Basically a critque of them hqving calculated some size that was supposed to be the maximum size of an object. No laws have been defied. The size of your imagination has been defied. You didn't think it could be but it is. Anyways, looking at these "facts" from uncanny angles is the very spirit of science, not the wikipedia entry. They re-write the "laws" all the time.

The speed of light is not always constant, it changes depending on different mediums it goes through. the C in formulas refers to the speed of light in a vacuum space is so much like a vacuum that typically scientists don't need to keep track of these variations, but it is not ALWAYS constant like you say, which totally kills your entire argument.

The Doppler effect is what makes a car horn sound different when approaching than when going away from you. This is because the soeed and direction changes the soeed of the soundwaves. Supposedly light travels the same speed no matter the speed of the source. If light is subject to the Doppler effect, then light speed in in fact not constant.

The size of the universe and the size of objects in the universe never cease to amaze me.

I can't really wrap my mind around that patch of black sky containing that many galaxies or the size of the sun relative to some of those objects.

i gotta agree with daze here.
just because light is subject to the Doppler effect does not mean that it's speed changes.

the wave it travels on is just stretched out.
if the source of the light is moving away from the observer it would create the illusion that the light is moving at a slower speed because it is coming from an increasingly farther point so it would take longer for the light to get there, not because it is moving at a different speed. that is why there is sound distortion perceived from objects making noise that are moving to you and away from you.
