Well if you want they could just cop out, use the magic book and say it was all made 5000 years ago
evolution at this point and time is basically a fact. The evidence is overwhelming at this point and only delusional or stupid people would deny this scientific theory.
We don't have as much evidence for some claims about the universe. But we are learning more each day instead of relying on scripture written by people who didn't understand what causes lighting or that mental illnesses are not the result of demons.
Eh, i think its okay for some threads to be like that. Its ok and funny to troll some threads but it just seems unneceasary as hell in this situation and stifles any conversation we would have. Like i said, i wonder what the properties of time are like in an area that is so dense with immense gravity. shyt could be one big wormhole.
I just saved a thread that wouldnt have made it past 2.5 pages tops. Applaud him. Threads like this while informative are boring and dont have enough substance after the initial post from the op. Just a bunch of
*wow, crazy*
*science wins again*
etc. Real boring drab posts. You people need someone to kickstart your thread, lawnmower.

He's referring to this i believe.well, wormholes theoretically could exist. We don't know that they do; but if they did time would be irrelevant, as the wormhole would only be a way to shortcut through what we consider time. But considering that time doesn't even exist in physical reality, we are only talking about our limited perspective of our events and space.
And since time doesn't really exist how are you wondering what the properties of time are like that area? I'm wondering what matter, other planets, life, has been pulled into this structure. One blackhole will suck up everything within light-years. I'm wondering how it go so large and if a black hole closer to Earth will grow and end our planet.
Bogging down and derailing a thread about a fascinating scientific discovery with the same old arguments and religious speculation is not "saving" it. It doesn't need saving in the first place. People will read it, learn from it, and discuss it until it dies a natural death, whether it's 2 pages or 10. Please keep those tired, old arguments out of this thread.
To think of galactic nuclei swarming around a central cluster of black holes... doesnt this sound like a how atoms have neutrons/protons with electrons flying around them? The structure is a large quasar group (LQG), a collection of extremely luminous galactic nuclei powered by supermassive central black holes. This particular group is so large that it challenges modern cosmological theory, researchers said.
my issue with the title was it said something about "cosmological principles", but TheReal edited it. I'm not sure what the rest of you are going on about
That was a typo breh. I only noticed it afterwards, and edited it out.
I knew you edited it because the thread shows like I never read it if the title gets edited (and I was sure I had read it). I saw that and made my comment about the title. then others started criticizing the title too, but at that point it had already been edited, so I'm not sure what they're talking about. I see nothing wrong with the current title (and I'm someone that's usually critical of how the media handles science stories)
