If you are overweight and want to lose a lot of weight, if you workout hard for 30 minutes to an hour a day, full body workouts, push ups, pull ups, burpees, dumbbells, etc & eat 5 meals a day counting carbs/protein and eating healthy balanced meals you can change your life.

How is it a scam? 
I probably have two meals a day if i’m going to the gym that day. But otherwise I can definitely survive on one meal. I try to only eat when I’m hungry.
How is it a scam?
Because it isnt necessary and only helps food companies.

I've been on one meal a day since hs basically. The biggest thing for me now a days is making sure that 1 meal comes by 6 or 7 pm. Nothing worse than eating late and waking up to your stomach going cray in the morning. Got to properly digest before sleep.

You are not beholden to food companies. They don't dictate how and what you eat. All your arguments are basically devoid of any element of personal accountability. A business wanting to maximize profits is not a scam it's a goal.
You talk about people in every scenario like humans are helpless sheep resigned to being victims of circumstance.
It's pretty unrealistic to expect the world to stop being a challenging place. Food will be marketed and you don't have to bite on being sold into eating more than you need to live. The only way to navigate all these obstacles is knowledge and information. How you get that is your responsibility. And if you think that isn't fair try looking at nature. Survival doesn't concern itself with equality. You do or you don't. It's what we are tasked with when we get here.
