G I think is actually a pretty good character especially in VT1, that shyt covers a lot of damn ground. He does a ton of damage too with that president meter up.

Sagat as always is an acquired taste. He plays hardcore neutral in a game where there's not that much neutral, I think people will struggle with him and he might flounder in tier lists, but I don't think he's trash. I don't see how he'll be able to beat characters like Menat or Guile that do what he does better.

Go check out Bafael, dude is breaking down Sagat. Strong anti air, zoning, and 1 button fireball. He will be a threat with time in the lab.

SFV has a neutral it's just not FADC safe options. Sagat is gonna shine in footsies.

But you have to make a lot of hard reads to keep your opponent out, you have cc's to worry about in this game so it's hard to just throw out buttons now like before, and they kind of toned down his limbs a bit in this. It's possible but it's just not gonna be easy for him, he has to work a lot harder to zone than guile or menat, and he also struggles against guys who can zone better than him. I think he's viable but I wouldn't call him a threat.

His biggest assets are the fact that his uppercut is probably the strongest uppercut in the game, his kara and his standing roundhouse CC's, but I don't know if that's going to be strong enough to handle akuma, guile, menat, ibuki, etc. that's all.

Your discounting his Vtriggers breh. that one button fireball allows insane pressure plus angry scar builds gauge on whiff. VT2 gives him invul as well. Guile may give him problems but he’ll take the Menat matchup. Ibuki will prolly 50/50 to death, no argument from me there.

This is just what im seeing doe. I havent had the chance to play him yet.

I’m glad Sagat has authentic Muay Thai techniques. That being said they should take off a lot more health given how lethal Thai kicks are.

Been playing Sagat couple of key notes:

- 4frame lp.dp is the best aa in the game.
- St.lk solid buffer normal.
- St.mk has more range then it looks. beats out a lot of normals and good to VTC from.
- it's feels hella good when you kara dp punish neutral jump from half screen!
- always stock up vskill after every successful dp aa
- Do not play like your typical SFV rushdown/mixup character. More like a defensive wall. 80% of your game should be done on the ground.
