You don't have to unlock everything. And depending on which edition you bought you should have all the characters already barring Sakura and Blanka tommorow.

I've purchased 2 characters with fight money...sucks I can't play this game enough to unlock everything myself, I don't have the time.
The boards are getting redundant too, because there's like 6 I haven't played on yet.
Everything barring certain costumes in the game can be bought with fight money or Real money. Trying to get everything with fight money at this point is crazy like you said. It's better imo to use the fight money on costumes and colors and just buy the characters and stages u want. Otherwise your in for a long road.
