The game is on a flash sale for $15. Trying to figure out if it's worth getting or if I should wait until arcade mode is patched in

I'd almost say you should wait, however, the arcade patch is free and if you good with playing around with characters, completing their trials and first two levels of survival mode, character story modes and the complete story mode, that'll garner you enough fight money to buy all the characters in the first two season outright. It's actually not too hard to earn a lot of fight money. You'll have to start buying some of the DLC characters (with fight money) in order to have access to their story/survival/trial modes to earn more fight money to get everyone up to that point. If that sounds like too much for you or whatever, then arcade mode will have all the season 1 and season 2 characters already unlocked.

Zeku doesn't really stand out to me even with the ninja gimmick. I'd rather have Gen.

This batch of new characters is just okay to me. I think the only new character in the game I like is Ed

Ironic, since Ed is easily the blandest one.

Yeah I though this whole character's shtick was him going from old to new back to old, however after looking at him critical art in more detail it really may be a 2 in one character. I dunno

Doubt it, some story mode clips dropped Young Zeku has the same sideburns and suit as old Zeku.

Maybe he has that Jojo Steel Ball Run dimension hopping technique.
