Didn't realize this was an HBO movie. Just remembered by brother gave it to me on VHS and I looked at it on the regular. I liked Strapped way back when cause it was gritty and cause of my fascination with guns. And it may been the original stop snitching movie too.

How the hell could he think he snitched on him when he ended up never getting charged?? :dahell:
Bamboo was just an idiot.

The arms dealer got booked and the only one he was dealing with was Bamboo, so he called up Bamboo sayin he was puttin a hit out on him. That's why he was already suspicious, and when he saw Bokeem talkin to the the Fed and heard the convo, he knew.

But this was my ish. I have it so I still watch from time to time.

damn brooklyn must of been a shythole in the 90s though :ohhh:

nearly every black NY movie I've watched from the 90s has the lead characters trying to get out of Brooklyn as the main narrative.:francis:

can any of you NY cats speak on this?

It's the hood.

It's the same everywhere and NY is no different.. It's just that New York happens to be the greatest most famous city in the world

It was pretty well done for a film with such a low budget. I would love to see something like this updated. Fredro is always playing crazy azz dudes, and Bokeem was good even though the dialogue was a little stilted.

Against the wall was another great HBO original

Samuel L Jackson was in it with Clarence Williams III about the riot in Attica
