movie was great but fake as fukk

no mention of Arabian Prince, who was around from the beginning and left first

eazy did WAS NOT GOING BROKE

no mention of eazy's disses towards dre and snoop

2pac was in prison when Eazy E died and hail mary was recorded AFTER dre left death row

That's just a few things
Again the movie is almost 3 hours. How important was Arabian Prince on the album Straight Outta Compton?

If Eazy wasn't having money problems what was he doing with Trash Bags of weed?

They didn't mention Eazy's diss towards Dre and Snoop but that's ok they didn't mention Dre Day either which was a way bigger record as far as radio and video play

They didn't mention Mc Ren getting shot, they didn't mention Dr Dre getting shot... there's a lot of stuff they couldn't squeeze in. The movie would be 6 hours if they put everything y'all want in

And yeah a few things wasn't in the correct order of how it happened but most biopics do that for the flow of the movie. They had PAC recording Hail Mary in the booth because Hail Mary is gonna get the best response from the audience in the movie theater... I seen this first hand at the movies watching Baby Boy the scene they played Hail Mary and the whole theater was singing along

well if eldridge Bryant and another member of the original Temptatons can get mentioned in a temptations movie(who are 10x bigger than fukking NWA) I don't see how a guy who was there from the beginning couldn't even get a name drop. Once again, this was SUPPOSED to be an NWA movie. Not a Cube/Dre movie(which it really was)

Eazy E's net worth at the time of his death was about 30+ million. Him and Russell Simmons had about the same amount of worth at the time. Let's see:

NWA multiplatinum sales
Doc platinum
JJ Fad platinum
Above the law gold and platinum albums
MC Ren gold debut, and sold 2 or 300k of his 2nd album
Eazy's solo albums sold MILLIONS
BONE SOLD MILLIONS
% of Chronic sale
home video sales

so with all of that, you believe that Eazy E was selling bags of weed to make ends meet? :lol nikka, I was around when the shyt was going down. I was going on 18. I knew how to count figures of what label owners were making back then from a simple Vibe magazine article in 94. Bone's first album alone sold over 4 million copies and we're not even talking about singles. Eazy sold close to 5 million records by himself as a solo artists. And you know he wasn't paying anyone so with all the FACTS that I have just given you, do you believe the SOC movie, or do you believe the facts?

In the scene Eazy and Cube squashed beef in the club Eazy said he had Bone Thugs there with him
yep. Bone confirmed it. It was at the tunnel. Cube said he was there with Big and Puff and Eazy was there with Bone. mfs acting like Ren did drop a hot ass debut with Bobcat on the beats. I loved the movie, but it wasn't an NWA film at all

btw, Cube recording Amerikkka's most Wanted(in 89) while looking at the Million Man March on tv in the studio. When I first saw that in the theater, i thought, "what the fukk? that was 6 years later"

I was around when all this was going down also. Like I said I read the article Eazy mentioned he was moving weed... i didn't say that Eazy said it himself .. I wish somebody can pull up the article so y'all can see exactly what he said... I don't remember how he said it but the report brought up the trash bag of weed not me

And Eazy E died before he got a chance to see the success of Bone - E1999 album. Creeping On A Come Up sold good but how much of that money went to Eazy's bank account? He's running a label so a lot of that money goes into the label artist, videos, promotion, studio time, On top of that Jerry Heller was stealing money

A lotta nikkas just nitpicked the hell outta the movie, which I knew was gonna happen.

For one, there ain't a biopic in existence that pinpoints every single major and minor moment of an artist's career... so I don't know why anybody got surprised about stuff like Arabian Prince not being in the movie, or that there wasn't enough focus on Ren's career after NWA, etc... those things not being included doesn't toss the whole 3-hr movie under the bus. If we keepin' it 100, did anyone care about Arabian Prince being part of the group until this movie came out and he wasn't in it? I figured goin' in that the main focus of the movie was gonna be the three main members of the group, so I wasn't surprised when that's what happened.

To me, the movie has enough good shyt in it, most of the shyt that's "missing" ain't really that missed. If I had a choice to decide whether to keep the 'No Vaseline' scene or devote those three minutes to JJ Fad, I know what I'm goin' with.

Far as the Eazy shyt, the dude probably wasn't about to go broke, but he didn't fire Heller for no reason. Let's be for real- a business partner you made money with for years (while fukkin' others over in the process), and suddenly you fire him... and nikkas don't think money had somethin' to do with that? Everyone close to Eazy said that he knew Heller was doin' some dirt and fired him because of it. I'd guesstimate that it had somethin' to do with Heller fukkin' with his money.

That's what made the scene dope. F Gary Gray could've chose any Farrakhan speech to put on that screen but he chose to show Farrakhan behind bulletproof glass while Cube was recording "N!gga U Love To Hate"

You don't see the gem in that?

In commentary on the SOC movie Gary Gray said he was putting little Easter eggs In the movie.

Like the scene Ice Cube got frustrated and smashed priority records office. At 2:07 mark of the scene you see the vision of a Cube

Because Cube was tired of getting jerked by people and wanted to be his own boss he started his own film and production company called Cube Vision

It's a decent movie with all they had to pick from, but it's definitely slanted.

What I don't like is:

1. As was said, they made Ren look like he was just Eazy's stooge - and not The Villain.
2. They made it look like Eazy was gonna cry missing Dre and Cube
3. Arabian Prince should've been in that movie, mayne. There's no 2 ways about that.
He was an original member of N.W.A. If for no other reason, he should have been included
because he was the first to leave because of the royalties situation.

Temptations movie was also a three-part miniseries that runs almost 5 hrs. long. If it was movie-length, at almost 2 1/2 hours, half the stuff in the Temps movie wouldn't have been in it.

Even in the Bryant situation, his departure was what caused Ruffin to be added to the group. Did Arabian Prince's departure affect NWA to any effect?

dropped in 94. Platinum out the gate nationwide. Eazy even rapped a verse on "for the love of money"(which was a ruthless artist song initially and bone just used the instrumental over".) I aint saying he didn't sell drugs, but he wasn't selling drugs to make ends meet. Mike Vick had a $100 million contract and was still fighting dogs for wagers. So let's get that straight. i'm not saying he never sold drugs!!. Even if you take bone's platinum debut and platinum singles away(that he was alive for) Rutheless Records was one of the most successful hip hop labels at the time. Ren gold, Above the law platinum and gold, eazy's albums platinum, nwa albums platinum, jj fad platinum, eating off Chronic. Explain to us how this man was broke selling weed to make ends meet..
