He did not sue Haymon he sued his promoter then signed with Top Rank.

It’s also an odd twist in the already peculiar situation in regards to Beterbiev’s status as a boxer promoted by Groupe Yvon Michel and managed by Al Haymon. This is because the previous important announcement the undefeated fighter had issued via social media was on May 8, when he let it be known he was pursuing legal action to seek an end to his association with Yvon Michel, the Montreal-based promoter allegedly a thorn in Beterbiev’s paw.

Beterbiev was featured on major fight cards and three Premier Boxing Champions broadcasts, picking up two more titles in the process. And, as per his contract with Al Haymon, he has received a cool quarter million in payment for those wins. Considering that Beterbiev, a native of Chechnya, has no fan following to speak of and little drawing power, it can be argued he has been compensated most generously, if not grossly overpaid. And yet he’s dissatisfied and now wishes to acquire different representation.

He was still under contract with Haymon like Alverez, but Haymon always lets his fighters go if then can get a good deal elsewhere like he did with Beterbiev, Alverez, Jacobs, Garcia, etc.

Haymon agreed to release Beterbiev in lieu of going to court over failure to meet his mandatory minimum of contractually guaranteed fights, which in turn nullified the boxer’s existing agreement with Michel. In turn, it would also effectively terminate any such arrangement with Hearn and DAZN, although that side is still being sorted out.
.

The relationship was thru PBC. Haymon was going to get sued and released him to avoid that. It's ok to admit Al Haymon had a deal go bad :martin:

It ain't like Al is holding these guys under contract (Mikey, and Jacobs were able to leave for something better, Khan got the Canelo fight, etc). He actually lets guys go if they can get a better deal or fight. Top Rank is out here giving life time deals. How is DAZN working out for Andrade, and Farmer?

Haymon brought fights to free TV, and sets sets his guys up for the future. That is the appeal. Top Rank seems to be really good at scouting talent. DAZN has the biggest money guys in the sport. If Canelo or Joshua leave its a wrap for them.

Speaking of a wrap. God forbid Wilder loses to Fury and Manny leaves for dazn after his last PBC fight. We'll be left with Danny and Porter rubber matches. Maybe Julian Williams can carry the platform if he don't leave too
I'm excited about the "free agent" Charlo going to dazn for 1 fight. He making peanuts right now so surely they'll leave for that quick bag. :troll:

If Wilder wins though after all the promotion with Fox and ESPN for this fight, his PPV numbers should go up from there. Manny doesn't really have to many fights left. Who will he fight on DAZN, Mickey Garcia? Then What? He got like $20 Mil for the Thurman fight. Canelo made like $30 Mill for his last one. Joshua made like $40. No of the numbers are official though so there is no telling how much they really made. I saw somewhere they said Jacobs made like$15 Mil for his last fight but he made less than that for the Canelo fight.

How much is Andrade making a fgiht?

How long are they going to keep paying these 2nd tier guys.

Besides them both being black and signed to top rank....how? How are they comparable as boxers?!

I honestly don't think @Black Lightning was comparing thier skill set as being comparable

Its quite clear CRAWFORD is on a whole nutha level than Bradley

But career wise from a business standpoint it looks like Crawford who is now in his 30s is going to ride off into obscurity once he retires not reaching the STAR STATUS he deserves ....

Bradley is basically unknown to boxing casuals and it looks like Crawford might be headed that way as well .....

Due to horrible marketing campaign by Top Rank and ESPN

Put Spence PPV Numbers Vs Buds PPV numbers

60-40 is generous of Spence

Yup considering that Spence be selling almost 3x as many PPVs, Arum greedy ass should take that. Bud is 32, this is as big as he is gonna get as far as bring a star. He never took any risks when he should have, blame Arum for that too.
