What type of player would this be?

I think it's fair to recognize Brunson as someone above the Donovan Mitchells and Tyrese Maxeys, and he'll probably be the best player on the floor vs Indiana, but i'm wondering what will he/NYK need when it's time to go against more serious teams (BOS, DEN, MIN... OKC, DAL).
Iā€™m more neutral on Randle than most. He can be very frustrating to root for because heā€™ll just get so tunnel visioned and go for his when heā€™s got guys open and forces stuff more than he needs to.

I think if the Knicks found a way to get KAT or Durant without giving up too much thatā€™d be perfect(this wonā€™t happen). Realistically - they should find a way to complete the Nova connection and get Bridges from the Nets.

Don't know what their cap situation or trade pieces are -specifically but not limited to Randle- but they got a title-caliber cast with a big game closer in Brunson. They should be a marquee destination for any disgruntled superstar. But should also be wise in who they acquire if those opportunities open up this offseason.
They dont have the cap space in free agency but aside from Randle they dont have any contracts that would be tough to move and even Randle only has 2 years 62 mil left on his deal with the last year being a player option. They also have will have likely between 4-6 1st round picks the next two drafts and own all their own 1st round picks til 2030 or 31.

PG is a risky signing, especially since it will take the 4 year max to get him. I think Philly could be a dark horse for a Donovan Mitchell trade.

Problem with PG is while he's a clear step up from Tobias, he's still an off balance bad shot taker who has to over dribble to get by his man and will just as easily end up with 7 points in a playoff game as a 3rd option with his own passive tendencies. And he's 34.

He may push them into being a 2nd round team again but after that idk.

yeah he has too many games where he'll score 30, then 10. avg 20 buts its deceptive.

My knees hurt just watching the last two games of this series :picard:

Hart spending damn near a 100 straight minutes chasing his own misses in playoff basketball :picard:

I think PG13 is a perfect fit in Philly and fits their timeline. Bigs age quicker and Embiid probably only has like 2-3ish MVP caliber seasons left in those legs.

I really doubt George leaves LA though. He might leverage Phillyā€™s offer to get a full max from LA. Hearing him today at Clips press conference he was like :manny:, win or lose I do my best. Doesnā€™t sound like he is all that interested in winning a chip, just being comfortable
