There's no point in him being 300ish pounds if he's gonna take jumpshots all day.
I read somewhere that every pound you lose is 4 pounds of pressure off your knee joints so it might help with his long term health as well.
I think he should aim to play at around 250-260

Morey tried to hedge his bets and sit on those draft assets bc they didnt know if Embiid was coming back. He brought in Buddy and signed Lowry and that was it. On top of that Morey mocked the fanbase for wanting to trade Tobias 8ppg Harris.
the +/- with Embiid off the floor tells the story. Having to play a nikka coming off surgery the entire 2nd half just to stay competitive is an embarrassment to the organization.

He's going to have to do something with the assets breh. Embiid is 30 and about to get bounced out the first round. Either put pieces around him or trade Embiid.
There will be more pieces available in the summer. (maybe not stars). If the season starts with Embiid and Maxey surrounded by just Lowry and Batum...you're not gonna sell that to the fans. They still have to sell tickets

...but you have MVP Embiid NOW. You have Maxey emerging now. Yesterday's game was a prime example on why they needed another star level scorer on their team. DeRozan just finished 2nd in the clutch award. He would have been a great durable reliable option for them now, and with his deal up this summer, they can still be players in free agency.
There's going to be guys who ask out that we're not anticipating right now. It's all on these GMs to move fast on them.
