nikka its filed. Hogan holds exactly ZERO wrestling ppv or gate or merchandise records. Everything is either austin, rock, or both together. Austin and rock hold every ratings record. Hogan is a great draw but the money and ratings game he is below the top two very heavy.

hogan doesnt hold merch records because you had to mail away for his shyt or buy it at the arena only

you couldnt just buy a shirt at walmart or online in the 80s

and austin has never out done hogan at gates as i just shown, whats austins biggest house? half of that goldberg shyt maybe?

maybe a 3rd of that skydome shyt?

austin already played 2nd fiddle to rock AND hogan, check wm 18, he had a shytty match with alcohall

austin should know by now he isn't god tier status like hogan

Cm punk is in the main event sometimes and was the focal point of the show for a long while last year
Doesn't mean hes a bigger star than john cena or that cena was playin second fiddle

Only reason rock and hogan happened is cause austin and hogan couldnt agree to a finish (correct me if i'm wrong)
Bottom line, austin is and will forever be the bigger WWE star
Even vince admitted to that

Hogan and the Rock are nowhere near as big a draws as Austin was. Vince himself will tell you that and has said it on numerous occasions and on a bunch of WWE DVDs.
Vince will say whoever hes on good terms with, this is the guy that tried to act like Lord Vadlimar, Bruno Sammartino, Macho Man and Ultimate Warrrior didn't exist :gag:

This point gets skimmed over a lot. Rock v Hogan ended up being incredible but Hogan v Austin was the talk at that time. They couldn't agree on "doing the honors" where Rock has always been almost too giving with his character win loss wise Steve was very calculated on when he lost as Stone Cold. I'm still shocked Rock won given how Hogan was

and you know that based on dirtsheet rumors? seeing as austin was asked to job to newcomer brock in random raw match later in 2002, and rock was starring in movie roles and becoming a bigger mainstream star, rock/hogan was always the first choice.

Well the problem was is that Austin would not even entertain the though of losing to Hogan, or looking weak and Rock was willing to give and take and they eventually came up with that finish. In the end the way the crowd chose Hogan over Rocky so easily, it's almost like Hogan knew the crowd was going to pick him, and was like alright I will lose, but know one will want me too lol.

The 1st choice was Hogan/Austin, it's the match Vince/Hogan wanted.

I don't do the dirt sheet shyt. I was actually watching at the time. Fans wanted Hogan v Austin. They couldn't agree. Hogan v Rock happened and became legendary. Being asked to lose to Lesnar afterwards very well could have been due to being stubborn in negotiations and Vince looking to move forward.

Can't say I'm mad at Austin for it. Hulk had a long streak of protecting himself at others expense.

I dont have a horse in this race, so ill say this...

Whether you think Hogan/Austin/The Rock drew more than the other, I'm not sure how someone could say it with absolute certainty. Logistically, merchandise was harder to move in the 80's, and was pre-inflation would have a lower price (i.e. something like iron man 3 outdoing batman 2 &3 bc it had imax tickets pushing up the total revenue...if the internet, wwe were more global and the merchindise had the same cost, then we could make a straight comparison but the vast differences of the eras dont allow that without inside information).

Vince is fickle, and will side whoever he is cool with at the time. Maybe he does mean it, but clearly this isnt an unbiased source (as someone said look at how he tried to exclude macho man and others from wrestling history for various reasons).

The KLIQ runs the industry :smugfavre:
