I didn't go by Name I went by face. I know filipinos have spanish names and I counted anyone that look asian and had a spanish name.

Filipinos aren't the ones committing crimes in Stockton. It's the vietnamese and cambodians that are the most likely criminals. If you look at the Asians on that list they are almost all Vietnamese and Cambodian.

On my Black side there are city managers and school district officers. On my Dad's side there are executives, business owners and accountants.

Actually, my black family (at least my maternal grandmother's side) is very prestigious especially the extended family. I am 2nd cousins with some very famous whitehouse secretaries that are black.


There is only one criminal on my dad's side, and that's a very interest story. My Uncle was a virtuoso guitar player, and Played as a stage and studio musician for some very Famous people. he was, also, one of the major coke dealers in that scene. He sold coke to some very famous people but i'm not hear to spread rumors about anyone.

It's bankrupt, but didn't have to declare it officially because MI provided a bridge loan if they accepted a financial advisory board. For MI, the law is if a municipality declares bankruptcy the governor must sign off on it and the governor stated he wouldn't sign off on any bankruptcy (similar to the situation in Harsiburg and Pennsylvania fighing each other whether they can declare or not). The governor doesn't want to take an impact hit on the states bond rating after it just got upgraded, which would happen if Detroit went in federal bankruptcy and the surrounding counties would take a hit as well.

A lot of municipalities are being slick right now with it and a few states too, but they are technically bankrupt just not officially.

well look at things from their perspective. They were seeing a huge increase in tax receipts at the time because of housing boom and the associated small business boom that rode along the same wave. They probably thought that this was a sustainable increase in tax revenue and projected future growth based on previous increasing rates.

I don't think it's fair to pin the blame on them when even the Federal Reserve didn't predict that this housing crisis would end up being such severe crash and burn.

Yes it is fair to place blame because if you are in positions of power you make intelligent decisions not try to build places to get a quick buck which Stockton tried to do. If your logic was true all states would be in this position. Get the fukk out of here. I bet if they were black you wouldn't say any of these things :comeon:. Theyre still idiots....

If you get a windfall and blow it, when you have bills you know will be mounting (in their case the pension obligations)... you have nobody to blame but yourself.

Even if the boom had continued, the pension obligations would have become a problem. Now that problem is just compounded by the boom ending. But fukk the Fed anyway, for blowing a couple of years, maybe decades of prosperity in like 5 years....
