My friend sister moved out to San Diego to try to live on an $85,000 salary. it didn't end well. Now she's back here making a little less but has some disposable income, just copped a new range. Life is better for her here.

I got a homie who makes less than that and lives pretty well up in San Diego. Was she renting a beach house or some shyt?

no but she ran in a circle of women who were well off so all that tryna play outside your means catches up quick and it happens fast in Cali.

Shout out to the Dems(yes that includes the moderates you niccas love to hate)and Biden for getting this done, this is the shot in the arm the American people and the country needs to get us back on track :salute:
back on track to where? the deep structural inequalities that were present before the virus are still in place, this relief is temporary. the ship is still heading towards the iceberg, we've just given people blankets. which is a good thing, but it's not enough to match the scale of the macro-issues facing this country. temporary relief is of course magnitudes better than no relief, but let's not start patting ourselves on the back, the real job is still undone.

when you say “some disposable income” I hope you mean a good amount, otherwise :dead: at copping a range

I think we have to be able to give ourselves credit for managing to do what’s necessary for the country when literally half of the political process is actively trying to prevent anything from happening

you can congratulate a historic accomplishment while still recognizing more needs to be done (and it will be even more difficult, so keeping that in mind will help you avoid the unnecessary hand wringing)

Does anyone know how that $10.2k UI not being taxed will play out? Will they update the 1099-G sent out by the state?

I went to a CPA this year and they said they haven't heard of the update (i guess makes sense, bc it hasn't been signed into law yet) but i told her to hold off on submitting my return until this is finished. Not trying to get caught with my pants down

Don't live in San Francisco if you want to make 85k , problem is bigger than covid :yeshrug:.

There are plenty of people making 72-90k in San Fran loving their lives.

This is cap.

But to be frank none of that has anything to do with Covid. :mjlol:
