So people with kids will get the 3k per child and the extra stimulus per child?

For instance a person with 3 kids will get 5600 dollars from the Stimulus. Will they get an additional 3k per kid on top of that?

Its $300 a month, per kid, for a year.

January 2021 through June 2021 is a tax credit.

July 2021 through December 2021 is a direct payment of $300 per kid.

$3000 for kids 6-17

$3600 for kids 6 and below.

Capped at 4 kids per family. So a family of 4 kids will get a total of $7200 of direct funds for 6 months.

Biden is trying to make this permanent.

The IRS is working on a portal on their website so you have the option of doing the monthly payments, or just taking the lump sum during tax season like normal. Otherwise you would get the monthly payments starting in June-Jan, and the rest will pay out as your child tax credit.
