Quick question : why did they need to include the minimum wage increase in the stimulus package ? Couldnt they pass it after ?

I feel it's crazy that the urgency of sending stimulus is being slowed down by this. It seems this could have been 2 separate issues.

Its a racist holdover from Reconstruction.

The minority has a chance to block the passage of a bill by performing a stalling tactic.

You can't let leadership off that easy.. there is likely something they can offer Manchin/Sinema but what that is on this particular issue I don't know. If they say they absolute will not budge under any circumstance then i don't know what anyone else wants to be done. They have to get it out of those two..

i'm not going to pretend that they can put "pressure" people in here keep throwing around that word.. pressure.. nobody has actually said what exactly the Dems should do to "pressure" them. i'm not in the rooms and don't pretend to be.
