That is clearly one of the reasons black people mobilized in droves to vote for Ossoff and Warnock. Dont fall into the trap that government restrictions are the only thing hindering economic activity.
The best state to "bounce back" (% decrease in unemployment from the 2020 peak & current unemployment versus their record low) have actually been Blue states ( Delaware, Washington).
I know you just mentioned your personal preference, and that's cool.
