So the 'get my payment' says it has some account number I dont recognize on file and they sending it there.I filed my taxes and the account my tax return was sent to is different than what IRS claims they have on file

If you pay your taxes by eft/ach it should go back into the same account...

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
It's probably already been posted, but some breh's are gonna get screwed out of that $600. Especially if you owe taxes this year.

They won't be able to send out payments to everyone. Basically, if you don't get a direct payment, you can claim it as a credit when you do your taxes. However, if you end up owing money, all that credit will do is be applied to what you owe.

And I know people that got unemployment and didn't have the taxes taken out. They are gonna end up owing the IRS, and not get anything, if they don't get that direct payment before the 15th of this month.

This was the worst possible time to do this too by the way. The first stimulus came towards the end of the tax season. This 2nd stimulus is happening right before the start of it, so the IRS will be swamped with other shyt.

On the Find My Payment site it states;

Will my payment be reduced or offset if I owe tax, have a payment agreement with the IRS, owe other Federal or state debt or owe money to other debt collectors?

No. Your second payment will not be offset for any Federal or state debts and is protected from garnishment.
