So the 'get my payment' says it has some account number I dont recognize on file and they sending it there

I filed my taxes and the account my tax return was sent to is different than what IRS claims they have on file :damn:

I got mine. If this is the best way to deliver relief to people, edge cases be damned, so be it... not worth the squabbling and delays because people are in need. But someone like me, who does not need this, shouldn't be getting one with the ever-growing debt in this country. If I get a 2k check for myself and my kids... sheesh.

Nah, 2 kids and no wife. I pocketed 6 figures last year and I have a couple hundred K in my bank, but my 2019 AGI was under 75k. Just took a new job, so I'll probably make 30% more this year, but if they use 2019 as the basis for 2k checks, that's 6 more thousand... which is crazy.

Makes sense. I knew you had a bag on you. Congrats on the new job and contributing to your retirement :salute:.

Even crazier I believe they were running off of 2018 numbers for people who hadn't filed originally.
