Americans should brace for even more gut-wrenching news on unemployment.

“It’s really around 23, 24% of people who are out of work today, and if this is a gradual recovery the way I think it’s going to be, those folks are going to need more help."

yeah shyt is going to be wild

If they don't start giving money to people for their immediate needs idk where we're heading but it's not good

Break off essentials too.

But tbh I think that was is and will be just a buzzword to make us sacrifices feel better about dying. We aint getting shyt

Their thought process is probably to get people to spend money fast to jump start the economy when its up and running. They can open it back up but they cant get it started if everyone is broke and scared due to the lock down.

They can either print more money and risk inflation or they could just let businesses shut down.

This doesn’t make sense. The problem isn’t spending. It’s what they are spending on.

The products and services deemed essential will make money. Groceries, home repair, cable/Netflix, etc.

The problem is that certain things aren’t essential. A bowling alley isn’t essential. A wedding party isn’t essential.

Back from that we individually have to consider what the risk of a hair cut, salon, or beach is. Certain businesses will be able to modify to make themselves less risky and appeal to us to make the risk. Drive-thru or appointment only.

Spending isn’t the problem for most.

Yeah, I'm really struggling with the concept of dying to uphold capitalism...

I dont know whats so hard to get. Call workers essential to string them along like that means anything more than a word. What I meant by sacrifices is that your basically forced to go into work amidst the fukkery as if you walk out thats quitting I.E. not applicable for UI.

It makes perfect sense in the context of what we were talking about.

Not really. The economy won’t need to be jump started cause it didn’t stall out.

We unfortunately have a heavily service industry economy. And a bunch of services have been deemed unnecessary to survive.

People asking for movies released at home will pay. They just don’t want the risk of a theater.
