The ageism argument is always the weakest one. It makes zero sense to say that somebody with decades of experience can't excel because they reach a certain age.
Spike Lee is old.
Bill Belichick is old.
Jay-Z is old.
Paul Heyman is old.
They can all still produce, as can a seasoned booker. All of the best bookers, have been people like Paul Heyman with decades of experience.

And countless other matches more if not the same amount and rate as other feds that do that but get shytted on

It’s really not that big of a deal now a days y’all gotta relax and just let a good match be a good match between 2 talented individuals

What we not gonna do is criticize WWE storylines and then let Khan & AEW do the same type of shyt with no criticism

a few of the people knocking it just not gonna like the product no matter what and just nitpick on the most random shyt.

Like it’s crazy to be like “why is Cody having a match with Shaq” but then was cool years ago with Big Show having a match with Mayweather, Bad Bunny currently being a title holder, or many other times similar shyt happened in ANY fed when a pro athlete got into an angle with a wrestler.

Asuka won only 1 singles match in 2021

Riddle, Miz and Morrison and Big E are corny as fukk..... but we still give them a pass. I rocks with Big E and still hopes he will be a champ like Lashley, but he is corny as fukk.

But I think it’s ridiculous to criticize AEW for the things that WWE or hell any other company has done and got a pass for. Which thats what some are doing and that’s specifically what I was calling out.

Now maybe you wasn’t cool with the Big Show/Mayweather thing but many was. And it wasn’t the first time that’s been done.

Everything is fair game for criticism.... but don’t go hard for one over another.... keep that same energy.

Why Floyd/Big Show getting slandered? That was the most appealing match on the card outside of Flair/HBK, and the one I’ve watched the most incredible build once they realized Floyd is not a face at all.

1) Be the sports based show they claimed to be instead of falling into being WWE-lite

2) Not having so many wink wink nudge nudge promos with references that only hardcore fans get

3) Stop sending shots at the WWE

4) Getting an actual developmental program instead of using AEW Dark, especially for the women.

Those are my main things with them. They run some great commercials that feel so real and organic, and doesn’t actually insult the audience’s intelligence, but it doesn’t always translate to the actual product.

Also to add, not every match needs to be upwards of 15 minutes. Some of these matches need to be the bell ringing, a boot to the face, and a pin. Cody vs Page? Sure. Fenix vs Sammy? Sure. PAC and Pentagon Jr? Sure. But Marko Stunt, Sonny Kiss, Joey Janela, and Chuck Taylor shouldn’t be going 15 minutes with anybody. There’s nothing wrong with squash matches nor 6-8 minute matches where guys can just get their shyt in and get out of there. There’s a good balance to have.

It’s pretty much been the last one and another recent episode. I actually mentioned this last week when they led off with maybe 3 shorter matches and then transitioned into longer ones, to which I was very surprised about. That’s just two episodes. You’re more often inclined to see various lengthy matches, some which features guys that have no business going that long. Not every rando that shows up on AEW needs to have some very competitive outing with a guy who’s higher on the card.

I will say this.... and I don’t know if it’s an attention span thing. But sometimes niccas be over exaggerating how long the matches be.

Specifically one show there was a match where cats was bytching whining and moaning about the length of the match. Then when it was done clowning it saying it was 25 mins and they went too long.

That match ended up being like 8 minutes

The so called jobber matches. I don’t think there is a problem with that, but if that’s the case then they need to go back to the early WCW/WWF days where it was “star vs unknown guy” or in their case Dark talent.

No point of ruining talent like.... well nevermind

But Lucha Underground did it remarkably well

Dude, I don't think people are just criticizing them having Shaq there, it's how they're doing it.

The build up has been awful and nonsensical,

There's literally ZERO reason for Shaq to be mad at Cody Rhodes or vice versa.

There's no heel or no face, so we're not sure who to root for or why

Brandi Rhodes is the worst worker in pro wrestling bar none. She's terrible at everything.

Jade is green as fukk, though I'll admit she's a hell of an athlete and a quick learner. Her & Red Velvet were the only good things about that match or it's build up.

Just look at that other stuff.

LT was ringside and Bam Bam Bigelow was a heel who started fukking with him because that's what heels do and LT"s a football player, so these alpha males are obviously gonna wanna go at it. It makes sense

TNA is an abortion, not sure why we're acting like Pac Man Jones was some high mark for wrestling's credibility

Dennis Rodman was in the WCW for years before he fought Malone. He was always apart of Hogan's heel NWO stable and Karl Malone was one of his biggest rivals in real life, so it makes sense for them to want to fight because hell, they fought in real life on the court

And it's not fair to put Pat McAfee in this. He's not some guy who just showed up out of the blue, he's been apart of WWE in tons of capacities over the years and they built him up going from an announcer and having some beefs with Adam Cole, etc. . .to just coming on out and becoming a heel manager.

It makes sense.

90% of things on AEW make no sense whatsoever. It's like an 8 year old books it just to see some cool flips and shyt

And I want to like AEW. I hate Vince McMahon with a passion and haven't watched WWE (except in clips online) for about a year now, but AEW is just mediocre and fans making excuses for them just ensures they're not gonna get better.
