you gotta stop with double standards breh
phil jackson is a great coach, but lets not act like hes inherited a shytty team- which is what you were saying that kerr needs to coach to truly find out whether hes a good coach or not. which shytty teams did phil coach ? again phil is a great coach, but lets stop acting like hes alone turning shyt into gold. phil chose well.
phil inherited the lakers after theyve been a perennial contender and went to finals, with shaq in his prime and having just drafted kobe.
kerr inherited the same warriors team and through coaching and making some what many can deem *controversial* moves (such as benching lee for draymond and having iggy come off bench as well) the team went from a very good team to a real juggernaut that dominates in a way unseen before in a while.
thats with no real changes to the roster
sure, kerr shouldnt get a ton of credit. but he should be getting some. the warriors did not play like this under the previous coach. they didnt move the ball like this. whether it was kerr gentry or some fukking janitor, coaching staff should be credited to this huge improvement and moves that benefited everyone and brought the best out in many players. why is curry only blossoming now into a MVP superstar after 6 years in the league ? because current coaching actually utilizes his scoring ability to the maximum.
