I need time to process this but no Steve Bannon is not an ally. There is just a new angle to all of this that he is trying to run.
To put it into perspective Marcus Garvey made the mistake of thinking he could work with a KKK leader because they wanted the same thing. They both wanted African Americans to have their own country, except the KKK wanted to deport black people to this hypothetical country against their will.
We do not want the same things as a white supremacist, end of argument. The enemy of our enemy is just another enemy in a multi front war.
Bannon is arguing whites should have access to the best schools and limit the foreign visas. Bannon is arguing black and Latinos should have access to 2 year colleges and limit the foreign visas. To me it sounds like similar to how Asians conned white people to create a path for more visas the the Harvard vs. Fair admissions.
Bannon likely realizes that without a limit to how many students can get in based on race and the likely end of legacy admissions, white people are next to see themselves have less acceptance to the best schools. Bannon is saying this stuff because he realized he and white people fukked up. Their hatred of black people having anything is going to lead to them having nothing too.

Yall don't say shyt about the tens of millions arriving-- legally-- from Ellis Island. Who were the impetus for the Homestead act, Jim Crow, who organized working class unions and locked us out, etc.

Yvette did a book club that covered this(“When Affirmative Action was White”), and Dr. Darity’s book talks about the wealth we were denied 60+ years ago.
