No one disputes that the 1994 crime bill was a disaster, not even Democrats who've acknowledged that and taken steps to reform the criminal justice system. That's why they supported efforts like sentencing reform, bail reform, diversion programs, and other decarceration efforts. Recognizing and addressing past mistakes isn't the same as running a white nationalist movement like what Bannon, Miller et al. are doing in the GOP.

The LA City Council scandal was disgusting, but again, Democrats loudly condemned it. You had high-profile party figures like Biden, Newsom, local and national Democratic leaders demanding resignations. That racist piece of shyt Nury Martinez was pushed out almost immediately, while the others involved were censured and stripped of their committee positions. They eventually lost their seats too. This still doesn't prove your point, and if anything, it shows they take action when that kind of behavior is exposed, which is a direct counter to your earlier claim.

White nationalism in the GOP is an organized, top-down movement influencing EVERY local and national GOP policy, be it on social programs, education, or voting rights. Bannon and co. don't just say racist shyt, they actually shape laws and policies that disenfranchise and target Black people, among other margenalized groups. Your examples don't pass muster.
