Stephen Silas ‘broke down in tears’ after a game earlier this year because he felt he couldn't connect with his team, per @WindhorstESPN

Where the hell you get this from? The stats are contradicting itself. It says only 3 number one picks since 1985 have gone on to win championships and then right below lists how AD and Kyrie also were #1 picks that won championships. As well as David Robinson and Tim Duncan.

Also the Warriors and Bucks have won the draft lottery and both have won championships. It should've said has won a championship with the player drafted #1. Maybe this article makes since in the context of the whole article but without the context surrounding the rest it makes no sense.
Just was a quick google search, didn't spend as much time filtering the data but the query was: how many #1 picks have won NBA championships.
Did something similar for top 5 picks to have won championships. I think that number was legit, it's somewhere around 15/110 since 2000.

It looks like it missed Hakeem going #1 and winning with the Rockets.

Nonetheless, those are still crazy stats.
I think that's less than 20% of #1 picks have won a championship going back to 1985, so 80%+ will come up short.
Only 5 players picked in the top 5 have won since 2008 (from two championships with LeBron).

Pretty wild and really goes to show only 1 team can win it each year.

This as well:

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
He was crying during press conferences even before this most recent incident and displayed in over his head tendencies for years now.

He’s done it before and I remember debating with posters then who insisted it was no big deal and that he wasn’t in over his head.

He wanted no part of that job once Harden got moved.

At least he apologized. But the damage has been done. Lynch mob came out for the youngin JG smh

@Thavoiceofthevoiceless is your recollection from 2021 too? :patrice:

i knew Silas was screwed when Jalen Green answered "im a bucket" to what he learned from his rookie season in which he (mostly) was putting up empty numbers on bad efficiency, only getting it together in the months of March and April. I dont think Green is a bad kid but its clear hes a product of "bag twitter" culture.

KPJ is bad for the culture. Been saying that for two years. They HAVE to move him if they want this thing to work.
