These were the sames ones that said Scary Stories was good and movies like The Meg were terrible (it was a decent popcorn movie)

I haven't read them, but I would assume the bad reviews are simply people who liked the first movie due to the dialogue between the kids. I actually thought Ch. 1 was light on the Pennywise focus, so if Chapter 2 is more focused on him, that's a win in my opinion. :manuehh:

I never pay attention to movie critics when it comes to horror. The stuff they think is the greatest thing ever is almost always absolute garbage. Like Midsommar.

It was one of the movies being shown at the theaters

They also thought about Pennywise turinging into Freddy Krueger but they decided against it because it'd be too meta.

Dope film. I never get scared by films anyways and I didn’t expect to by this. But I really enjoyed the chemistry of the kids. It also had some funny jokes lol. I really liked the 80s small town feel to it

I’ve never seen the original but judging by the overall response I take it that this was one of those rare remakes nobody had an issue with

Sequel was trash. The book is way better than the movies. I hate how they made the one black dude (Mike) a junkie in the sequel
