Stephen Curry is going to be in all the commercials.

He's the perfect player for the NBA too

family man
son of a NBA player
former college star
won't have as many people hate him as they do Lebron.

Hate is a strong word. LeBron is my nikka and I dislike Curry. He takes bad shots, commits careless turnovers and has bad body language but becuz his shooting is at another level it seems he's immune to criticism. He's the best player on the best team but LeBron is still the "face of the league" and he's proving it with his play on the court.

His FG% is .001% behind LeBron. Does a difference of .001% equate to taking bad shots?

Bad body language? What does that even mean? It surely cant mean flopping around the court and whining after every call because we already know which of the two players has that crown on lock.

The way I see it, "the face of the NBA" is usually a cat with a great attitude, that wins and someone who everyone wants to play like.

Right now everyone wishes they could play like Steph Curry.

If you had any discernible grasp of the English language you'd understand that "effect" is both a noun and a verb and is interchangeable with "affect" when used as a verb. You've been educated into thinking that affect is the only word that should ever be used when speaking with verbs just because it's the cultural norm, but in no way is effect wrong. It absolutely does not compare to "except" and "accept" which have 2 completely different meanings altogether.

effect
[ih-fekt]

verb (used with object)
10.
to produce as an effect; bring about; accomplish; make happen:

affect
[v. uh-fekt; n. af-ekt]

verb (used with object)
1.
to act on; produce an effect or change in:

Dudes trying so hard to come at my life in this thread all for the sake of their boyfriend and are getting bounced left and right. :mjlol:

:pachaha: that's not the right use of the verb effect though

You effecting some type of hyper-masculine attitude when clearly you're very emotional about basketball and linguistics is both arrant and errant

I think your post is funny.........but the point about his family is interesting. I notice they like to showcase his family when he makes an incredible shot which is great and all. However...............................................................I've never seen them show Lebron's wife and kids if he does a great shot or something..........................???????????

:patrice:
This I agree with. I can't even remember them showing any other star player's family as much as this. It's like they can't even wait until Steph heats up to put them on camera.

You don't have the wherewithal to debate froot loops vs. cheerios, much less two players, one of which you never saw play, in a sport you don't know shyt about

I'm a Knicks fan so no. I "stan" Bron because I respect greatness and come from an era where if guys were good you just appreciated them period. This social media era of twats doesn't know how to appreciate what they're seeing, everything's a competition.

And I truthfully have nothing against Curry, but I think it's ironic that people complain about ESPN and the media forcing LeBron down our throats all this year but are absolutely silent when Steph is getting the same treatment x5000. And if we're being completely objective here, a player of Bron's caliber is a lot more deserving of that kind of attention than Steph. I'd give that nod to Durant, Davis, Westbrook, MVP Rose, A LOT of guys before I give it to Steph.
you come from an era if guys are good.... Oh really. and you still STAN bron? i like bron. I think by technicality he's a great player moreso because he's a great specimen with the ability to handle the ball with either hand and finish well with either hand. but. if by chance bron was the normal height and size of other SF's. bron would not have ever won any mvp. does this matter in reality? not really. but it is a perception. giant man with super athletic ability is running by, jumping over, and running over guys that are much smaller and less athletic than he is.

kobe played in an era where his defenders were his size are larger, his athletic abilities or even moreso. yet he still destroyed them. Curry is 6'3ish. giving everybody the Bizzznesss. lebron included when he tries to switch. notice lebron hasnt tried to pull that drose defense on curry. i wonder why?

curry cant be guarded 1 on 1 by lebron or anyone else in the current nba especially with the nba now employing so many screens in plays. people see this regular size nba guy going ham night in and night out. a guy that isnt super athletic. but is super skilled.
bron is not super skilled and anything except for his ability to finish with either hand(no one ever talks about this. this is how you know most of these writers dont know basketball. they know stats.

Lebron right now is getting LOCKED UP by iggy. PERIOD. when iggy is on him, the man is missing more times then not. Its so bad that bron and the coach had to call for screens to get that boy iggy off of bron.

and thats with a nba that allows bron to travel like no other and allows him to Run people over in order to create space on his drives. if you cut him off. he will run you clear OVER. then go up for a layup/dunk. i aint mad at him. he use to play football in high school he doesnt know any better. shoot, he's a 6'8 tank. what else is he supposed to do vs a smaller quicker guy. But its on the nba and the refs to call the obvious charge. but they wont. because if they do, it will kill off half of his game. Because its a FLAW in his game that the nba chooses to allow it to remain hidden by way of rules and no calls.

think about this for a moment. What top GOAT player/scorer has ever had iso's after iso after iso and not be able to destroy their man? NON except for bron. iggy is locking this dude up. and he's doing it in a soft era of officiating where you cant get all up in a guy like you use to. if he could, it would be worse on bron then it already is.

put kobe in brons place on all those iggy isos. iggy may have had one good game of that. and then... kobe would've destroyed him to the point the other coach would've started calling for traps and double teams on the catch. or that infamous boston celtic/detroit piston 1-2-2 zone.

The level of fear they had of jordan's and kobe's scoring ability has been unmatched by anyone thus far. not KD, not LBJ. Curry is getting close. we're talking scoring ability and a team having NO ANswer for you other then hack you and pray the refs dont call it(DELLE), pray you miss, and or go to a 1-2-2 zone or doubling the guy early and often. Sorry lebron fans. he's a great player as in top 50. i'll give him that based on the stats. but the man has way too many holes in his offensive game. and way to much protection by the refs for anyone that knows better to allow people to continue to compare him to jordan and kobe.

Right now they are talking about they should give bron the mvp even if he loses the series. unless steph has a great game 6. LOL. ridiculous. steph has been consistent for the most part. bron has posted nice numbers but that FG% is lacking. not because he's taking too many shots. its because iggy is locking the man up. lebron is able to half play defense cause the other warrior players a lot of time over defer to klay or curry. so bron can just roam(conserve energy). so dont give me that he has to play defense too. not really. he's playing help defense moreso then man. now we've heard for the past 8 or so years about how great lbj's fg% is in comparison to the likes of KOBE. but now we are willing to forgive him for all those bricks that iggy is causing. STOP IT.
