It's Steph move we never saw Charlotte use this move before tonight i don't remember her using it in any of the SmackDown matches she had she since her return
Charlotte's been doing that for a long time. You just have to watch any of her matches from the past for proof. They've each been doing it a long time in both of their careers.

Charlotte does add that part where she flips the opponent over to take a back bump. Steph just does the head smash.

That how trash the move is with Charlotte then if she been doing it & i never notice it never popped like when Steph does it
I think its presentation Steph presents it as a big move that helps builds to her finish in some case while its just another move for Charlotte

Yeah, Charlotte started out just using the head scissors, then added the flips, then added the head smashes later. Not much showmanship with her version.

That little kicking their head away from her after she does it gives Steph’s version its own “flair” to it-no pun intended :banderas:

Another note: If you watch Steph's version, she crosses her legs at the start but not figure 4 style. Doing it figure 4 style makes it harder to do the bounce part smoothly. Then when she turns them around she uncrosses her legs to have them parallel to the mat and seemingly keeps their head in place with her thighs. This allows the head smashes to look better. The opponent flailing their arms also helps to sell it.

After tonight she will definitely be fully on main by the end of the year if not sooner. They will probably do the same thing they are doing with Roxanne and float her back and forth until they are ready for her to go full time on main. Going to be really interesting to see if people start to prefer her over Rhea.

Rhea has the advantage of being established and being a native English speaker, but her character has pretty much stagnated and peaked atm

I really don't think native English speaker matters anymore. I saw the Iyo/Stephanie segment. Neither are native English speakers and neither are even close to fluent. It didn't matter at all. The crowd got what they were saying, they were hyped before they even locked up, and they were seemed into the whole match AND aftermath. 90% of the native English speaker also shouldn't be put in 5-10 minute promo segments. Probably the single worst hold over from the Attitude Era.

All those classic promos and angles you remember from the 80s that are still shown today were 5 minutes and under and most of the time if they were going 5 minutes or longer they involved Flair, Dusty, or Hogan. Nearly 60 years of wrestling before in ring back and forth promo battles became the thing to progress characters and angles and it stinks for almost everyone.
