but the fact that she still needs work on her English may give him pause.
To some extent we'll know based off how Penta is treated.

But even that's not a great comparison considering Steph wants to learn English to use for her promos whereas Penta can speak English but he'll never be comfortable primarily using English for promos.

As a fan of both too, I would also agree tbh atm. Giulia came in with way less experience than Asuka and Iyo, so she hasn't adapted as quick as they have. She still has to find her groove really. With the WWE having 3 veteran Joshis already on the roster, it was always going to be harder for her to stand out. I think she will eventually get there as long as she remains motivated and Paul actually sees some value in her.

To be fair, even though Giulia is our NXT champ it feels like Steph has been pushed onto screen and has more exposure. Like without even trying I've seen far more Steph clips on YouTube or media interviews than Giulia.

Fenix seems more comfortable speaking in English now compared to Penta based on the last few moments of him on AEW TV. I'm guessing he'll be the one talking more for them whenever he debuts.

I'm just basing my opinion on what Penta said about English promos on his CVV interview. I think it would be better off for Fenix to either be on NXT or Smackdown right now. Penta as a singles competitor is working, and I doubt the Lucha bros by themselves can save the Raw tag division.

I think Penta will be ok. The fact that he's very marketable will help him stay afloat at least. Luchadors have their own particular niche in the WWE with slightly different expectations. I don't think he will be a main eventer like Rey, but at least upper midcard.

You're right. Steph has wrestled more. She is always the first match when she's on the card. I think she has become what they expected Giulia to be coming in and they finally realize it. She even got a larger pop at the Rumble.

I said it in another thread, but putting Fenix in NXT is borderline disrespectful. He's better than Penta in the ring and arguably just as over. I think you have to pair them together or at least keep them close but let them do their thing in singles watching each other's backs.

I agree but the reality is probably 50/50. The face of the company Cody is Ricky Starks co-sign and BFF and he still started off in NXT because this is the weakest men's division in history.

Lucha Bros are real nice, but it's not Hunter cares about the tag division that much anyway. So I could see Fenix going to NXT to prop up the men's division for like 6 months.

But hey, now that TNA wrestlers can compete for NXT gold that concerns about the men's division is probably overblown.
