It's been funny watching cats stumble over themselves all these years trying to explain away Steph's success; still stuck on the conventional wisdom of what makes a star. They programmed themselves to only see the channel of what happens with the rock in hand. They'd rather remain in a state of ignorance than acknowledge how he's the network, as it'd mean they'd have to come to terms with what they think the game is, really isn't, at all.
