Dame reminds me of the Clippers as a team.

Both talk a lot but don't have the hardware to back it up. Clips acting like they're the 2002 Lakers, just pacing themselves to "turn it on" when needed. Dame has more mouth than jewelry.

In a vacuum, I'd say Dame is more gifted than Wardell Jr. but Wardellito is obviously the greatest shooter ever PLUS he's played on the biggest stage multiple times with success. Dame really only needs one ring as the #1 option and he'd be set. Problem is getting that one ring.

At this point, he's basically Iverson (not playstyle but just overall success) but doesn't have anything close to a Finals appearance. AI took a game off the prime Kobe/Shaq Lakers. Dame hasn't done anything like that yet.

But come on g, you been on here, the issue is cats used Dame's hot streak in the seeding games to elevate him as if there isn’t already a documented history here. Dame is a really good player and will continue to be so, and speaking for myself, i had no expectation that the Blazers would rip thru the Lakers...

The problem is a whole lot of people, on here, on the sports shows, etc, were giving him a level of credibility he hasnt earned in his 8 years. It's commendable that he empties his tank and gives 100, but this is not atypical with him regardless of who he meets in the postseason----->there is always some untimely injury when he gets his head beat in, and besides the two walk-offs, his play consistently deteriorates in the postseason. The microscope on several other guys would be a whole lot more intense if they always were curiously hurt when they were getting blown out in series, which isnt saying he isnt really fighting thru pain but you know this is true...

Its not about playing the #1 seed Lakers. This conveniently happens in damn near every series with dude, yet cats were stumbling over themselves to call him "clutch" and you KNOW they don't give Harden, Westbrook, or Paul the benefit of the doubt we been seeing them give Dame---->dudes who are more accomplished players who, while all having struggles in the playoffs as well, have all had big moments as well. Yet cats clearly speak about Dame in a manner they domt give these guys....

Dame continues to improve and is one of the best players in the NBA. There is a pattern here with dude though that is clear and obvious, and I think its well within reason to point that out, particular compared to other points of his era. It aint just this one season, hes one way in the regular season qnd another way in the postseason but he's the guy who all is forgiven for?
