Honestly I don't think either one deserved it at all. But Steph right now is playing better than Westbrook did in 2017. Imagine 2017 Westbrook in this lineup, the team would suck ass and Draymond and him might have come to blows already.

If you think a mediocre team should disqualify someone from MVP, then 2017 Westbrook shouldn't have been in the running. He shouldn't have ended up there just because Westbrook's bigs literally boxed out free throws with their hands away from the ball so Westbrook could up his totals.

crodie motor earned him that mvp it was just too crazy to not reward him

there is literally no other player we've seen this far go that hard for a whole season legit psychotic effort ha

chef is killing but as good as he is it's not lifting his squad to their established standard

basically a victim of being on such great teams in comparison to what is currently on the floor

That's a weird take because the 2017 Thunder looked far worse than the Thunder teams that proceeded it.

And the Thunder only lost one star, the Warriors lost two.

So why wasn't Westbrook's team held to the standard of the 2016 team that many suggested said should have won it all?

And Westbrook's motor on offense was impressive, but the fact that he only played 34 minutes/game and gave literally zero effort on defense that season takes it down a notch for me. He basically only had to go all out for 17 minutes each night. Everyone was saying that the Thunder had absolute shyt for backup point guards, but instead of playing within the offense for 37-38 minutes and letting perfectly competent teammates like Oladipo/Gibson/Grant/McDermott/Sabonis/Adams/Kanter cook more, he had to absolutely dominate the ball and spend energy chasing stats for the shorter periods of time he was in while letting his team down on the defensive end and playing shorter minutes in the process, forcing the team to play those shytty backup guards that much more.

Whoever be keeping track of the stats got a crazy filter game.

I wonder if they have some sort of program that automatically searches for the most unusual stat line of the day, or if they just see a stat line they like and fukk around with the parameters until they figure out the most unique combination possible.

crodie rep ain't the same

chef is the gravity gawd the story line is he pulled gsw dynasty out his behind & posseses the ability to turn average teams to contenders

crodie rep is he is young sabotage chaos incarnate tune in for the fukkery that mvp was just folks recognizing they never seen someone play with that level of sustained intensity

gsw fall off is more noticeable okc even at it's most loaded ultimately still folded

crodie was often credited as the source of okc's issues where chef was credited as the source of gsw's rise

if chef did it once what has changed¿

he should be comfortably ahead of his contemporaries yes¿

he's a little bit ahead of the supposedly inferior dame.$ in the scoring champ race & gsw is a handful of spots back close to the bottom of the west

as i said we already seen this from chef on a individual level & on a team level he's not elevating the squad as he was advertised to do

right now there is really not much difference between him & the other buckets/chuckers that folks malign other than folks positive opinion of him

for me it's confirmation of what i been saying

<<<franchise>>>individual<<<<

gsw's run was not carried on chefs shoulders that's not the type of player he is

he is the ultimate force.multiplier not in the one man team category

it's no hate towards chef

but it is something to remember for the stans

next time you see them shytting on a player emptying the clip just to keep his squad afloat chef is no different

franchises can determine fortunes

Having lower expectations for a player is a pretty awful way to determine MVP. I get you though.
