I'm eating real good working for ADT as an alarm technician. It's an easy job to learn and I don't even mind helping you out as far as learning the job goes. The service side is where you want to be though, I didn't care much for being an installer. I work as a subcontractor under somebody else and it seems like they're always looking for more employees. Even if you're just looking for a job in general I would check out craigslist and see if anybody is hiring for techs or if you can learn as an installer and move to the service side later. It sounds like ADT pays the best out of all the companies to work for. They treat their direct employees very well, so starting as a sub and then applying for corporate is an option too.
