Them charlo twinz are a damn problem! Great for boxing.
Horribly timed Berto was looking for a way out, luckily for Berto either Porter showed compassion or was extremely inaccurate as he could have sent Berto through the ropes 3-4 times, or even gave Berto one of them clubber lang, Floyd Ortiz type kill shots....It wasnt nothing about merciful about that stoppage though; that ref w3as in @patscorpio mode basking in the discombobulation that was taking place, Berto could have got hurt, but Porter kept backing off......

I thought it was a good stoppage and Harvey Dock overall did a great job considering what he was dealing with. If it was Steve Smoger , Jack Reiss or someone like them Berto would have died
cats have to understand...that berto was brutalized when he was considered in his prime by the likes of robert guerrero who was fresh off coming up from 135..he didnt have anything for a young stronger prime fighter for porter outside of an uppercut..which landed several times to no real effect
...boxing is really 2 fighters trying to prove their intangibles over the other..this fight reinforced that lesson..sometimes having pretty/sound boxing skills isnt enough...devon, paulie, broner, and berto arguably have more "skills" than porter and everyone of them ended up soundly defeated by porter..he's doing this on sheer brawn and strength lol..with that being said about porter when he returns to 154 that will become omce again more of a liability of cats who are naturally big and/or strong as he is
Its the pressure + volume + speed + intensity + strength....hes basically like fighting a Welterweight version of a Bear.
He just overwhelms you.
Skill alone is not good enough to beat Porter...you have to FIGHT him off of you, not Box.
I enjoy his style bc it shows that technical skill isnt the end all/be all of #TheSweetScience

100% accurate.
And even the guys who beat him had to go through a war to do it.
Porter definitely is a fighter who separates the boys from the men in the ring.
Gonna need more than technical skill at 147 to beat Porter
