Feel the same way the first 2/3 was pretty engaging but after the church scene the movie falls apart.
the scene when he couldn't kill the dog pissed me off lol the most important thing a secret agent has to do is kill the fukk you here for if you can't do it.

Man, I wish I had avoided everything about the movie honestly cause people hyped me up and I was like, I like Eggsy. PEople kept talking about the church scene and how it was the best thing in movies today. When I got to it it was just like ok, that happened. I enjoyed the scene that followed it more honestly.
I agree:salute:

I disagree :salute::camby: but :salute:

We have to keep in mind I haven't seen them all but I do mostly like the ones I've seen, just not for the story. O, Brother, Where Art Thou probably being the exception. I still want to watch True Grit.

I haven't seen Raising Arizona in a lonnnng time like since I was a kid but I remember enjoying it. Don't know how I'd react today. And I had a reallly visceral reaction to A Serious Man. The trailer did not properly prepare me for that movie but I thought it was fantastic in it's willingness to shyt on the primary character.

Agreed I was about to fall asleep on district 9 it was boring.

It didn't bore me but I've only watched it once and it was one of those I never watched again. I watched it a few weeks after my mom died so I know I wasn't in the head space for anything like that so maybe that's why I've never been a fan of it

Casino is criminally overrated here, it's a good movie but no where near as good as goodfellas, not even close.

Kingpin is a comedy classic.

The ending ruined a apocalypse now

the last 15 yrs of american cinema has been ass :manny:
No lie, it's been trash for a longer time.
I used to rent videos at this one rental store (before redbox and netflix existed) and they had all these foreign, kung-fu, black cinema, anime, and independent films. I just rented those because all the american made blockbusters were boring and predictable.

I don't get Richard Linklater at all.
Oliver Stone hasn't made a movie worth a single god-damn since 1994.
Lars von Trier is terrible.
