Five episodes in and this Izzy chick is an a$$hole

She’s such a moody angry intense cold hearted bytch

the most likeable unlikeable character that I’ve ever seen in a series. The irony that I found her relatable does not escape me.

The self sabotage though and selling everybody out, her betrayal is unforgivable. She deserved all of the smoke after that business decision. Didn’t even have a lawyer look over the documents and yet she was this expert coder. Smh. I would never sell out associates like she did - I wanted her disappeared after that. Between her and that Russian lady- I don’t think I’ve seen either of them smile or laugh in any episodes of a 3 season run. Ruthless. Izzy didn’t even smile at her own sister’s wedding.

Dude was about his business- best part of the series. Acting was phenomenal - the brains behind the decisions

While Izzy’s intent is noble, her sales pitch puts her in contact with Nick Talman (Adam Brody). Nick decides to invest his father’s dirty money in GenCoin, which immediately brings him to the attention of gangster Ronald Dacey (Edi Gathegi). Dacey’s gang’s money was being laundered by Nick’s father. And now Izzy, Nick, and Ronald are in the crosshairs of crooked FBI Agent Phil Rask (Martin Freeman), who was also blackmailing Nick’s dad. i watche dthe first ep it had like 3 straight sex scenes everybody was fukkin but the black dude

What type of assessment is this?? Everyone was whoring and sleeping with random multiple partners except for the black man who was married with children. But whatever you say “pal”

if that’s all that you gained from the first 3 seasons, you’re watching for the wrong shyt. The black MAN (not dude) was also the only one who maintained a level head with the business decisions and strategic planning while Izzy was snorting coke, abusing her parents, sleeping with every person she met every other episode; Nick was an emotional mess who was being seduced by honey traps set up by the Russians and Asian Elon Musk.

This Weirdo ^^is mad bc he couldn’t see stereotypical sexual prowess on the screen; a black man stays faithful to his wife and has his mind on building a business, instead of knocking everything that walks - foh. Black man in a position of leadership and literally outsmarting MBA accredited venture capitalists and flooding the hood with business ownership mindset for 3 seasons is a “dub” bc this “Dude” expects a Silicon Valley start up IR porno - jbo cac babble. StartUp Season 4: What To Expect
Nothing official yet but this show has too much of a fan following and buzz for Netflix to not pick this up even though Sony dropped the ball. I think Netflix might do like they did with that UK “ Top Boy” Summerhouse series and end up renewing it for Season 4 in 2022. They can free up the budget and scrap all of those corny dumbass cringey laugh track new “original”
sitcoms that keep failing. There’s like 10 shows and stand ups on there Rn that need to get cut and never brought to the light again.

I’m good with watching The Parkers, Half and Half, Martin, Wayans Brothers back in the day reruns. Bernie Mac show reruns on Hulu. Shows that were and still are actually funny.

But This new “Upshaws” and Carmichael - they can go ahead with that brand of bullshih. Mike Epps been playing the same goofy unfunny uncle 40 teeth showing character for like 30 years. We good - that’s a no for me. Godfrey and Affion are much more funnier on IG without even trying- that’s who need shows. Mike Epps, Tiffany Haddish, and Kevin gotta go - tired of being force fed that boring watered down slapstick shucking shyt.

after all that effort went into finding investors, Izzy gets sweet talked into signing a partnership with Elon Musty (Alex)can write code but cant decode a bad contract lol, no contract review, no stipulation agreements, no clauses- Nada. How hard is “do not commit to it, unless you verified that shyt?” She literally handed over a company with a future valuation in the millions.

didn’t bother to NEGOTIATE terms - how tf did she fall did that.? They knew Ron would never have signed any contract like that and they could easily con Izzy’s dumb desperate ass. Example of all book sense but no street smarts or intuition.

Ron knew what was up when Alex invited them over to the pool party, talking about “nah I’m good, I bought an extra shirt”
And Ron was also suspicious at the club - Nadia RobotPatrovika (i made that up, I forget her name) was sinister asf walking around like a dead eye emotionless corporate vixen. Did she ever blink? I don’t think she blinked her eyes in any scene

This series is the Law&Order of info tech series- they took like 5 different “ripped from the headlines” real life situations and meshed them into this.
