Can't hate on that. When your career dries up you gotta make money somehow.

I kinda know an actor known for one role, which in the grand scheme isn't even that famous, and he still gets flown all over the world for conventions. it's not even a genre type movie either. last time i saw him he had come from a "con" in Colorado and was going to Austria or something in a few weeks. i'm not saying who, and i'm not bragging, just chiming in that if that guy can make money and get wined and dined by these things, actual current stars are definitely getting money hand over fist.

A few years ago, everyone didn't charge. I got a pic with DMC for free, pics of some old 80's wrestlers for my nephew, Vivica when she still had somewhat of a name...a few others. Of course, Adam west and Star Trek were always $75 and up...

Other than RDJ and ScarJo, all the other Avengers been killing the comic-con circuit. They were at Philly Wizard World right after Civil War release and they were making a killing. Chris Evans was charging a grand for VIP sessions with him and the other cast members just to take silly pictures. All the Chris Evans sessions were sold out even at $700-$1000 depending on who was in the picture with him...

Bruh I'd do that in a heartbeat. I spend about that much money every night in the bar, to spend it getting a pic of the Comic GAWD is no question.

Of course it matters what your budget and situation is, but I've spent $100 way more frivolously in the past, it'd be nothing to do it here and get something that'd actually last for a while.
You spend a $100 every night at the bar?

They can't go after that money because they can never prove that the money he gets is directly tied to the character the actors play. If Stephen Amell sets up a booth saying 'Meet Stephen Amell', he's "selling" himself, not his character on Arrow, even if 99% of the people coming for an autograph or a picture will most likely be there only because of Arrow. You'll rarely see an actor at Comicon in character because of that grey line.

I do think the studios are sometimes involved with those VIP sessions like the one posted above with Chris Evans because that's often official promotion stuff.
