You just proved Steam chart numbers alone aren’t reliable with your cyberpunk thread.

If you only look at steam, you’d think the game was super popular everywhere but in reality people on consoles didn’t really care.

There’s all types of different platforms and avenues to play these games. Chosing one and then extrapolating that to all is literally lies and propaganda.

On Xbox Starfield has been 1-3 since launch, sitting above long time multiplayer games that almost never leave the top spots. Something a single player game almost never does.

So if i was to post Starfield being number one on xbox would that then mean it’s the most popular game on earth???

Yes, steam doesn’t have that type of split for most games, especially AAA games are usually popular on consoles.

Do you know how numbers work? If one platform has 70% of sales how could you compare that to any other game without knowing the platform split?

BG3 did almost 900k on PC alone, and those were actual sales
