If Bethesda don't fukk off with this engine by now
Old Fallout 4 HD-texture pack recolor-ass game...
At this point anything in that engine is gonna look like it could have been done and possibly better by a random modder to me. Don't give a shyt if it's straight from Bethesda's top designer's desk - someone who makes mods in their spare time around a probably shytty day job can and will make it better within the year, I guarantee it. That first picture isn't even the best-looking vertibird reskin I've seen before. This problem lives until the Creation Engine dies.
Until they decide they want to run an engine they're better at using than someone else is, Bethesda is always going to be a hollow king - made worse because now Obsidian is trapped in their shadow at MS despite having been pound-for-pound the better studio since before F:NV. You know... the peak example of how Bethesda is always second-tier using their own goddamned tools.
I mean, I'mma still play it. But almost certainly for the inevitable star wars mods that'll probably be half-done before the game even releases because fifteen-year-old game tech.
