Of course....
Of course....
No body gives a fukk about that character. Just a loud group on Twitter and the media who’ve already said they care more about politics than a good product.Breh they had Finn all over the trailers all over the posters FLEXING WITH LIGHTSABER IN HAND like he was the new young reckless moisture farmer who dreamed of a future beyond the stars...
...and then they made my nikka the JANITOR
But Kelly Marie Tran was screwed????
The same people that like Rey are complaining about Tran... it’s a small minority of casuals.Yo this whole "Rose was written out of Star Wars because she's Asian" is such bullshyt
I'm legit agitated
She was a shyt character and people saw through that
It has NOTHING to do with the actress
Boyega got pushed to the side for Ridley and when Black people complained, no one give a flying fukk!
I never did that, never said that or even remotely implied that fam...I’m not playing stupid to that. Numbers is numbers. I wouldn’t correlate Asian box office numbers to how Asian Americans in this country feel about a movie or a character but I’m also not going to dispute the movies notoriously do terribly overseas. Last Jedi and this one and force awakens don’t have juice over there. Is what it is.
I’m talking about your guarantee about who’s outraged and who isn’t in this country. If that’s how you feel, you got it. Not going to get into a back and forth about something I can’t prove
I can guarantee you the vast majority of Asian women don't even know WTF a Rose Tico even is...
The Star Wars fan base doesn’t care about Tran or any of these new trash characters which is why merch sales are terrible the theme park flopped. The only issue ill take with what you said is clearly there are a group of people, no matter how big or small, who do care enough about her character and are upset a prominent asian character in Star Wars, the lone prominent character in Star Wars mind you, was relegated to barely there status in this movie. And they have a right to feel that way and I understand where they're coming from. If enough of them and more people like Jon Chu, who has sway in Hollywood and is Asian, feels that way and can do something about it then more power to them. Claiming a majority of the fanbase dislikes the character because of internet chatter is myopic and fruitless and ignores a whole fanbase of people who, like a lot of us with Finn and Lando, got to see someone on screen in this universe who looks like them. That shouldn't be the case.
And why would you assume that the only people complaining are white women which was my point. It makes a huge ass assumption as if you’re in that community every day and talk to every Asian American about how they feel about Star Wars and this character. That’s why I said “you got it” cause you’re taking a huge ass assumption for the sake of argument and it’s a bad argument to make. If you don’t like rose and feel like the shyt isn’t a big deal that’s cool. Not saying you should feel that way. But to assume it’s just white women on twitter who have an issue with it feels like a bad faith assumption to me.I never did that, never said that or even remotely implied that fam...
This was the only guarantee I made...
I don't really understand why you assumed vast majority of Asian women is limited to Asian-Americans and the North American film market...Why would you use a small minority representation of Asian-women from a specific region instead of the Asian regional market? That's like polling Cleveland Cav fans whose better Bron or Kobe and taking their answer as gospel for how all NBA fans feel...
It’s a dumb point anyway. Most people that like or not like something has nothing to do with representation. That’s been a media creation over the last 10 years or so.I never did that, never said that or even remotely implied that fam...

Most of the the people complaining just care about representative shyt not the actual quality of the story. They have proven this many times over. And why would you assume that the only people complaining are white women which was my point. It's not an assumption, its a logical conclusion that one comes to when they take into how many Asian-women care about Star Wars, whose writing the articles and the faces behind the twitter posts...And why would you assume that the only people complaining are white women which was my point. You and I have never agreed on shyt like this so I hear you but obviously don’t come from the same place or agree. Most of the the people complaining just care about representative shyt not the actual quality of the story. They have proven this many times over.
That’s why these same retards will write think pieces about toxic masculinity after a female led movie flops. It’s the same people. A loud minority that shouldn’t be taken seriously.
To be fair they come in all colors
Right and that’s cool. Especially since a lot of the people who write articles are based on access and film critic culture has a minority problem. One that’s not always talked about but is talked about and is a thing. Which is why I’d never base my argument on that which is where my whole thing came from. So I disagree with the stance although I get where you’re basing your stance onIt's not an assumption, its a logical conclusion that one comes to when they take into how many Asian-women care about Star Wars, whose writing the articles and the faces behind the twitter posts...
Here's one for you...
The Rise of Skywalker Creators Say It's Carrie Fisher's Fault Kelly Marie Tran Wasn't in the Movie
The only thing that writer has in common with Kelly Marie Tran is genitalia...She is part of the same social media cult that got that SNL dude fired for making an Asian joke and then got pissed off at Andrew Yang for defending him instead of being offended like they were for him...
I can post more but its pretty clear we're never going to agree here fam...
I feel you homie. Respect the perspective
Start from scratch how? And why do people hate Rose so much?
